Round and sawn timber - Environmental Product Declarations - Product category rules for wood and wood-based products for use in construction

This European Standard provides general Product Category Rules (PCR) for Type III environmental declarations for wood and wood-based products for use in construction and related construction and in-service processes.
This European Standard complements the core rules for the product category of construction products as defined in EN 15804 and is intended to be used in conjunction with EN 15804.
NOTE    The assessment of social and economic performances at product level is not covered by this standard.
The core PCR:
—   define the parameters to be declared and the way in which they are collated and reported;
—   describe which stages of a product’s life cycle are considered in the EPD and which processes are to be included in the life cycle stages;
—   define rules for the development of scenarios;
—   include the rules for calculating the Life Cycle Inventory and the Life Cycle Impact Assessment underlying the EPD, including the specification of the data quality to be applied;
—   include the rules for reporting predetermined, environmental and health information, that is not covered by LCA for a product, construction process and construction service where necessary;
—   define the conditions under which construction products can be compared based on the information provided by EPD.
For the EPD of construction services, the same rules and requirements apply as for the EPD of construction products.
Additionally to the common parts of EN 15804, this European Standard for wood and wood-based products:
—   defines the system boundaries;
—   defines the rules for modelling and assessment of material-specific characteristics such as carbon storage and energy content of wood;
—   defines allocation procedures for multi-output processes along the wood chain;
—   defines allocation procedures for reuse, recycling and energy recovery;
—   includes the rules for calculating the Life Cycle Inventory and the Life Cycle Impact Assessment underlying the EPD, including the assessment of carbon and energy content of wood;
—    provides guidance/specific rules for the determination of the Reference Service Life (RSL).
This European Standard is intended to be used for cradle to gate or cradle to grave assessment, provided the intention is properly stated in the system boundary description.

Rund- und Schnittholz - Umweltproduktdeklarationen - Produktkategorieregeln für Holz und Holzwerkstoffe im Bauwesen

Diese Europäische Norm liefert allgemeine Produktkategorieregeln (PCR) für Typ III Umweltdeklarationen für Produkte aus Holz und Holzwerkstoffen zur Verwendung in Bauwerken und die damit zusammenhängenden Bauverfahren und Dienstleistungen aller Art.
Diese Europäische Norm ergänzt die Grundregeln für die Produktkategorie sämtlicher Bauprodukte, wie in EN 15804 festgelegt, und ist dazu vorgesehen, in Verbindung mit EN 15804 verwendet zu werden.
ANMERKUNG   Die Beurteilung der sozialen und ökonomischen Leistungen auf der Produktebene ist nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm.
Die grundlegenden PCR:
   legen die zu deklarierenden Parameter und die Art fest, wie sie auf Vollständigkeit überprüft und kommuniziert werden;
   beschreiben, welche Phasen des Lebenszyklus eines Produktes in der EPD berücksichtigt werden und welche Prozesse in die Phasen des Lebenszyklus einzubeziehen sind;
   legen die Regeln für die Entwicklung von Szenarien fest;
   umfassen die Regeln zur Berechnung der Sachbilanz und der Wirkungsabschätzung, die einer EPD unterliegen, einschließlich der Festlegung der zu verwendenden Datenqualität;
   umfassen die Regeln für die Kommunikation vorgegebener Umwelt- und Gesundheitsinformationen, die für ein Bauprodukt, einen Bauprozess oder eine Bauleistung nicht von einer Ökobilanz (LCA, en. Life Cycle Assessment) abgedeckt sind, soweit erforderlich;
   legen die Bedingungen fest, unter denen Bauprodukte auf der Basis der Informationen aus der EPD verglichen werden können.
Für die EPD von Bauleistungen gelten dieselben Regeln und Anforderungen wie für die EPD von Bauprodukten.
Zusätzlich zu den allgemeinen Teilen der EN 15804 legt diese Europäische Norm zu Produkten aus Holz und Holzwerkstoffen Folgendes fest:
   die Systemgrenzen;
   die Regeln für die Modellierung und Beurteilung von werkstoffspezifischen Eigenschaften wie etwa Kohlenstoffspeicherung und Energiegehalt des Holzes;
   die Zuordnungs (Allokations )Verfahren für verschiedene Outputverfahren entlang der Kette der Holzverarbeitung;
   die Zuordnungs (Allokations )Verfahren für die Wiederverwendung, das Recycling und die Energierückgewinnung;
   sie enthält die Regeln zur Berechnung der Sachbilanz und der Wirkungsabschätzung, die einer EPD unterliegen, einschließlich der Beurteilung des Kohlenstoffgehaltes und Energiegehaltes von Holz;
   sie liefert eine Anleitung/besondere Regeln für die Festlegung der Referenz-Nutzungsdauer (RSL).
Diese Europäische Norm ist vorgesehen für die Bewertung „von der Wiege bis zum Werkstor“ oder „von der Wiege bis zur Bahre“, vorausgesetzt, die Bestimmung ist in der Beschreibung der Systemgrenzen korrekt angegeben.

La présente Norme Européenne fournit les règles de définition des catégories de produits (RCP) générales pour les déclarations environnementales de Type III relatives aux produits en bois et dérivés du bois destinés à être utilisés dans la construction et les services de construction associés à ces produits.
La présente Norme européenne vient compléter les règles régissant les catégories de produits de construction définies dans la NF EN 15804 et est destinée à être utilisée conjointement avec cette dernière.
NOTE   La présente norme ne traite pas de l'évaluation des performances sociales et économiques au niveau du produit.
Le tronc commun des RCP :
   définit les paramètres à déclarer et la manière dont ils sont regroupés et consignés ;
   décrit les étapes du cycle de vie d'un produit prises en compte dans la DEP ainsi que les processus devant être inclus dans les étapes du cycle de vie ;
   définit les règles relatives à l'élaboration de scénarios ;
   intègre les règles de calcul de l'inventaire du cycle de vie et de l'évaluation de l'impact du cycle de vie servant de base à la DEP, y compris la spécification de la qualité des données à appliquer ;
   intègre les règles de communication d'informations environnementales et sanitaires prédéterminées, qui ne sont pas couvertes par l'analyse du cycle de vie, pour un produit, un processus de construction et un service de construction, si nécessaire ;
   définit les conditions dans lesquelles les produits de construction peuvent être comparés, sur la base des informations fournies par la DEP.
Les règles et les exigences applicables à la DEP des services de construction sont les mêmes que pour la DEP des produits de construction.
Outre les parties communes de la NF EN 15804, la présente Norme européenne relative aux produits en bois et dérivés du bois :
   définit les frontières du système ;
   définit les règles pour la modélisation et l'évaluation de caractéristiques spécifiques du matériau telles que le stockage de carbone et le contenu énergétique du bois ;
   définit des procédures d'affectation applicables aux processus multi-débouchés de l'ensemble de la filière bois ;
   définit des procédures d'affectation applicables à la réutilisation, au recyclage et à la récupération d'énergie ;
   intègre les règles de calcul de l'inventaire du cycle de vie et de l'évaluation de l'impact du cycle de vie servant de base à la DEP, y compris l'évaluation du contenu en carbone et du contenu énergétique du bois ;
    fournit des lignes directrices/règles spécifiques pour la détermination de la Durée de Vie de Référence (DVR).
La présente Norme Européenne est destinée à être utilisée pour l'évaluation « du berceau à la sortie de l'usine » ou « du berceau à la tombe », à condition que le but associé soit énoncé de manière adéquate dans la description des frontières du système.

Standard EN 16485 določa splošna pravila za opredelitev vrste izdelka (PCR) za okoljske deklaracije tipa III za les in lesne kompozite za uporabo v gradbeništvu, sorodnih gradbenih postopkih in postopkih, ki se uporabljajo v gradbenih storitvah. Ta evropski standard dopolnjuje osnovna pravila za opredelitev vrste gradbenih izdelkov, določena v standardu EN 15804, in je namenjen za uporabo s standardom EN 15804. Dodatno k splošnim delom standarda EN 15804, ta evropski standard za les in lesne kompozite: - določa meje sistema, - določa pravila za modeliranje in ocenjevanje lastnosti, bistvenih za to vrsto materiala, kot so skladiščenje ogljika in energijska vsebnost lesa; - določa postopke dodeljevanja za večizhodne procese v lesni verigi; - določa postopke dodeljevanja za ponovno uporabo, reciklažo in energetsko predelavo; - vključuje pravila za izračun inventarja življenjskega cikla in vrednotenje vplivov življenjskega cikla, ki sta osnova deklaracije EPD, vključno z oceno energijske vsebnosti in vsebnosti ogljika v lesu; - ponuja smernice/posebna pravila za določevanje referenčne življenjske dobe (RSL). Ta evropski standard se uporablja za ocenjevanje faze izdelave »od zibelke do vrat« ali »od zibelke do groba«, če je namera jasno navedena v opisu meja sistema.
