Protective gloves against chemicals and micro-organisms - Part 3: Determination of resistance to permeation by chemicals
This European Standard specifies the determination of the resistance of protective glove materials to permeation by potentially hazardous non-gaseous chemicals under the condition of continuous contact.
It is emphasised that the test does not represent conditions likely to be found in service, and the use of test data should be restricted to comparing materials chiefly on a relative basis in broad categories of breakthrough times.

Die vorliegende Norm behandelt die Bestimmung des Widerstandes von Werkstoffen für Schutzhandschuhe gegen die Permeation von möglicherweise gefährdenden, nicht gasförmigen Chemikalien unter der Bedingung des ununterbrochenen Kontaktes.
Es wird ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, daß diese Prüfung nicht die Bedingungen repräsentiert, die in der Praxis angetroffen werden, die Prüfdaten sollten hauptsächlich für den Vergleich der Werkstoffe auf Grundlage der Durchbruchzeit verwendet werden.

La présente Norme européenne concerne la détermination de la résistance des matériaux constituant les gants de protection à la perméation par des produits chimiques non gazeux potentiellement dangereux en cas de contact continu.
Il convient donc d'insister sur le fait que cet essai ne rend pas compte des conditions susceptibles d'être rencontrées en service, et il est recommandé de n'utiliser les résultats de l'essai, qui ont une valeur essentiellement relative, que pour comparer des matériaux par grandes catégories de temps de passage.
