ISO 11806-2:2011 gives safety requirements and measures for their verification for the design and construction of portable, hand-held, powered brush-cutters and grass-trimmers with a back-pack-mounted combustion engine power source and mechanical power transmission between the power source and the cutting attachment. Methods for the elimination or reduction of hazards arising from the use of these machines and the type of information on safe working practices to be provided by the manufacturer are specified.
ISO 11806-2:2011 is not applicable to lawn-edge trimmers or to brush-cutters equipped with metallic blades consisting of more than one part, e.g. pivoting chain.
ISO 11806-2:2011, taken together with the relevant clauses of ISO 11806-1, deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events, with the exception of whole-body vibration from the back-pack power unit, relevant to these machines when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.

Dieser Teil der ISO 11806 enthält sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und die Feststellung deren Übereinstimmung für die Gestaltung und Konstruktion von Hand gehaltenen Freischneidern und Grastrimmern mit Verbrennungsmotor mit rückentragbarer verbrennungsmotorisch betriebener Antriebseinheit und mechanischer Kraftübertragung zwischen Antriebseinheit und Schneidgarnitur.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Rasenkantentrimmer oder Freischneider, die mit mehrteiligen, metallischen Schneidwerkzeugen, z. B. schwenkbare Ketten, ausgestattet sind.
Sie beschreibt Verfahren für die Beseitigung oder Verringerung von Gefährdungen, die durch ihren Einsatz entstehen. Außerdem legt sie die Art der Informationen für sichere Arbeitsweisen fest, die vom Hersteller zur Verfügung zu stellen sind.
Dieses Dokument behandelt, mit Ausnahme der Gefährdung durch Ganzkörperschwingung, alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen oder Gefährdungsereignisse für diese Maschinen, sofern sie unter dem vorgegebenen Zweck und bei vernünftigerweise vorhersehbarem Missbrauch eingesetzt werden.
ANMERKUNG Eine Methode zur Messung der Ganzkörperschwingungen, die von der rückentragbaren Antriebseinheit ausgehen, ist derzeit nicht verfügbar. Siehe Anhang A zur Liste der signifikanten Gefährdungen.
Dieser Teil der ISO 11680 gilt in erster Linie für Geräte, die nach dem Ausgabedatum der Norm hergestellt worden sind.

L'ISO 11806-2:2011 spécifie les exigences de sécurité et les mesures de protection pour leur vérification, pour la conception et la construction des débroussailleuses et des coupe-herbe portatifs à moteur, tenus à la main, équipés d'une source motrice à moteur à combustion interne, portée à dos, et d'une transmission mécanique de puissance entre la source motrice et le dispositif de coupe (appelés «machines» dans la suite du texte). Elle spécifie également des méthodes pour éliminer ou réduire les phénomènes dangereux inhérents à l'utilisation de ces machines, ainsi que le type d'informations sur les pratiques d'utilisation sûres à fournir par le fabricant.
L'ISO 11806-2:2011, conjointement avec les articles pertinents de l'ISO 11806‑1, traite de tous les phénomènes dangereux significatifs, situations dangereuses et événements dangereux, à l'exception des vibrations transmises à l'ensemble du corps par la source motrice portée à dos, pertinents pour ces machines lorsqu'elles sont utilisées normalement et dans des conditions de mauvais usage raisonnablement prévisibles par le fabricant.
L'ISO 11806-2:2011 est applicable aux débroussailleuses et aux coupe-herbe portatifs à moteur fabriqués après sa date de publication.
L'ISO 11806-2:2011 n'est pas applicable aux machines équipées de dispositifs de coupe métalliques constitués de plusieurs pièces, par exemple les chaînes articulées ou les lames à fleau.

Ta del standarda ISO 11806 določa varnostne zahteve in ukrepe za njihovo preverjanje za zasnovo in konstrukcijo prenosnih, ročno vodenih kosilnic s prosto rezjo, opremljenih z rezilno ploščo ali kosilno nitko, z nahrbtnim motornim pogonom z notranjim izgorevanjem ter mehanskim prenosom napajanja med virom napajanja in nastavkom za rezanje.
