This European Standard specifies the characteristics of post installation flexible self-wrapping protection
sleeves for electrical cable and cable bundles made from meta-aramid fibres and provided with a water
repellent protection for aerospace application.

Diese Norm legt die Merkmale von nachträglich montierbaren, flexiblen, selbstverschließenden Schutz-schläuchen aus Meta-Aramidfasern mit einer wasserabweisenden Schutzfunktion für elektrische Leitungen und Leitungsbündel zur Anwendung in der Luft- und Raumfahrt fest. Diese selbstverschließenden Schutz-schläuche können unter bestimmten Bedingungen (115 VAC/400 Hz, max. 15 A pro Leiter – gemäß Prüfung EN 6059-502) auch als elektrischer Schutz verwendet werden.

La présente Norme Européenne spécifie les caractéristiques, après installation, des gaines de protection en méta-aramides flexibles auto-fermables pour câble électrique ou toron de câbles et fournies une protection imperméable pour les applications aéronautiques. Cette gaine de protection auto-fermable peut être aussi utilisée comme protection électrique sous conditions spécifiées. (115 VAC/400 Hz, 15 A max par conducteur – comme par l'essai EN 6059-502).

Ta evropski standard določa značilnosti fleksibilnih samoovojnih zaščitnih obojk z možnostjo poznejše montaže za električne kable in svežnje kablov, ki so izdelane iz meta-aramidnih vlaken in imajo vodoodbojno zaščito, uporabljajo pa se v aeronavtiki. Ta samoovojna zaščitna obojka se lahko pod določenimi pogoji uporabi tudi kot električna zaščita. (največ 115 VAC/400 Hz, 15 A na prevodnik - za posamezen preskus EN 6059-502).
