This document specifies the functional requirements for 2 types (see Clause 3) and the safety requirements (see Clause 4) for handball and indoor hockey goals.
It is applicable to handball goals for training and competition.
NOTE Goals according to this document can also be used for indoor football.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die funktionellen Anforderungen für 2 Typen (siehe Abschnitt 3) und die sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen (siehe Abschnitt 4) für Handball und Hallenhockeytore fest.
Sie gilt für Handballtore für Training und Wettkämpfe.
ANMERKUNG Tore, die dieser Norm entsprechen, können auch bei Hallenfußball verwendet werden.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences fonctionnelles pour deux types (voir Article 3) et les exigences de sécurité (voir Article 4) des buts de handball et des buts des installations de hockey en intérieur.
Elle est applicable aux buts de handball pour l'entraînement et la compétition.
NOTE Les buts conformes au présent document peuvent être également utilisés pour les installations de football en intérieur.

This document (EN 749:2004) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 136 “Sports, playground and
other recreational equipment”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or
by endorsement, at the latest by March 2005, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by
March 2005.
This document supersedes EN 749:1995 + A1:1998.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following coun-
