Gas cylinders - Seamless steel and seamless aluminium-alloy gas cylinders and tubes - Periodic inspection and testing (ISO 18119:2018)
This document specifies the requirements for periodic inspection and testing to verify the integrity of cylinders and tubes to be re-introduced into service for a further period of time.
This document is applicable to seamless steel and seamless aluminium-alloy transportable gas cylinders (single or those that comprise a bundle) intended for compressed and liquefied gases under pressure, of water capacity from 0,5 l up to 150 l and to seamless steel and seamless aluminium-alloy transportable gas tubes (single or those that comprise a bundle) intended for compressed and liquefied gases under pressure, of water capacity greater than 150 l. It also applies, as far as practical, to cylinders of less than 0,5 l water capacity.
This document does not apply to the periodic inspection and maintenance of acetylene cylinders or to the periodic inspection and testing of composite cylinders.
NOTE Unless noted by exception, the use of the word "cylinder" in this document refers to both cylinders and tubes.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences en matière de contrôles et d'essais périodiques destinés à vérifier l'intégrité des bouteilles et tubes avant leur remise en service pour une nouvelle période d'utilisation.
Le présent document est applicable aux bouteilles à gaz transportables en acier et en alliages d'aluminium sans soudure (seules ou comprenant un cadre) prévues pour des gaz comprimés et liquéfiés sous pression, d'une contenance en eau de 0,5 l à 150 l, ainsi qu'aux tubes à gaz transportables, en acier et en alliages d'aluminium sans soudure (seuls ou comprenant un cadre) prévus pour des gaz comprimés et liquéfiés sous pression, d'une contenance en eau supérieure à 150 l. Dans la mesure du possible, il s'applique également aux bouteilles d'une contenance en eau inférieure à 0,5 l.
Le présent document ne s'applique pas au contrôle et à la maintenance périodiques des bouteilles d'acétylène ni aux contrôles et essais périodiques des bouteilles en matériaux composites.
NOTE Sauf mention contraire, le terme «bouteille» désigne aussi bien une bouteille qu'un tube dans le présent document.

Uporablja se tudi za jeklenke s prostornino vode manj kot 0,5 l in več kot 150 l, če je to smotrno. Ta mednarodni standard določa zahteve za redne preglede in preskuse za namene preverjanja celovitosti tovrstnih plinskih jeklenk, predvidene za nadaljnjo vnovično uporabo. cylinders" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 23 “Transportable gas cylinders” the
secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2019, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by April 2019.

Diese Europäische Norm wurde vom CEN am 17. Mai 2018 angenommen.
Die CEN-Mitglieder sind gehalten, die CEN/CENELEC-Geschäftsordnung zu erfüllen, in der die Bedingungen festgelegt sind, unter
denen dieser Europäischen Norm ohne jede Änderung der Status einer nationalen Norm zu geben ist. Auf dem letzten Stand
befindliche Listen dieser nationalen Normen mit ihren bibliographischen Angaben sind beim CEN-CENELEC-Management-
Zentrum oder bei jedem CEN-Mitglied auf Anfrage erhältlich.
Diese Europäische Norm besteht in drei offiziellen Fassungen (Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch). Eine Fassung in einer anderen
Sprache, die von einem CEN-Mitglied in eigener Verantwortung durch Übersetzung in seine Landessprache gemacht und dem
Management-Zentrum mitgeteilt worden ist, hat den gleichen Status wie die offiziellen Fassungen.
CEN-Mitglieder sind die nationalen Normungsinstitute von Belgien, Bulgarien, Dänemark, Deutschland, der ehemaligen
jugoslawischen Republik Mazedonien, Estland, Finnland, Frankreich, Griechenland, Irland, Island, Italien, Kroatien, Lettland,
Litauen, Luxemburg, Malta, den Niederlanden, Norwegen, Österreich, Polen, Portugal, Rumänien, Schweden, der Schweiz,
Serbien, der Slowakei, Slowenien, Spanien, der Tschechischen Republik, der Türkei, Ungarn, dem Vereinigten Königreich und
Zypern.
