This European Standard, together with part 1, deals with all significant hazards for interchangeable auxiliary equipment when they are used as intended and under the conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer associated with the whole life time of the machine (see Clause 4).
The requirements of this part are complementary to the common requirements formulated in EN 16228 1:2014.
This document does not repeat the requirements from EN 16228 1, but adds or replaces the requirements for application for interchangeable auxiliary equipment.
This document specifies the specific safety requirements for interchangeable auxiliary equipment to be used in drilling and foundation operations, connected with drilling and foundation equipment, agricultural equipment and/or earth moving machinery when they are used as intended and under the conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.
Interchangeable auxiliary equipment includes pile installation and extraction equipment, impact hammers, extractors, vibrators, deep vibrators, static pile pushing/pulling devices, rotary percussion hammers, rotary drilling drives, drill mast equipment such as leaders equipped with a drill stem and gears attached to the boom of an excavator and casing oscillators/rotators.
Diaphragm wall cutting tools are dealt with in EN 16228 5.

Das vorliegende Dokument wiederholt nicht die Anforderungen von EN 16228-1, sondern ergänzt oder ersetzt die Anforderungen für die Anwendung von auswechselbaren Zusatzausrüstungen.
Dieses Dokument legt die besonderen Sicherheitsanforderungen für auswechselbare Zusatzausrüstungen fest, die bei Bohr- und Gründungsarbeiten im Zusammenhang mit Geräten für Bohr- und Gründungsarbeiten, landwirtschaftlichen Geräten und/oder Erdbaumaschinen zu verwenden sind, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und unter den Bedingungen der Fehlanwendung, die vernünftigerweise vom Hersteller vorhersehbar sind, verwendet werden.
Auswechselbare Zusatzausrüstungen umfassen Ramm- und Zieheinrichtungen, Schlaghämmer, Ziehhämmer, Rüttler, Tiefenrüttler, statische Ramm-/Zieheinrichtungen, Drehschlagbohrhämmer, Drehbohrantriebe, Bohr-mastausstattung wie Mäkler, die mit Bohrgestänge und Getriebe ausgerüstet und am Ausleger eines Baggers angebracht sind, sowie oszillierende/durchdrehende Verrohrungsmaschinen.
Schlitzwandschneidwerkzeuge werden in EN 16228-5 behandelt.

La présente Norme européenne traite, avec la partie 1, de tous les phénomènes dangereux significatifs liés aux équipements interchangeables, lorsqu'ils sont utilisés normalement et dans les conditions prévues par le fabricant associé à toute la durée de vie des machines (voir Article 4).

Le présent document ne répète pas les prescriptions du FprEN 16228-1, mais ajoute ou remplace les prescriptions applicables aux équipements interchangeables.
Le présent document spécifie les prescriptions de sécurité particulières relatives aux équipements interchangeables à utiliser lors des opérations de forage et de fondation et qui sont montés sur les machines de forage et de fondation, aux machines agricoles et/ou engins de terrassement, lorsqu'ils sont utilisés normalement et dans les conditions prévues par le fabricant.
Les équipements interchangeables comprennent les machines de fonçage et d’arrachage de pieux, les moutons, les extracteurs, les vibro-fonceurs, les vibro-fonceurs de fond, les dispositifs statiques de fonçage/arrachage de pieux, les marteaux rotatifs à percussion, les systèmes d'entraînement pour forage par rotation, les équipements de mât de forage tels que les mâts de guidage équipés d'une tige de forage et les mécanismes fixés à la flèche d'une pelle et les oscillateurs/entraîneurs en rotation du tubage.
