Awnings for leisure accommodation vehicles - Requirements and test methods (ISO 8936:2017)
ISO 8936:2017 specifies requirements, test methods and material performance characteristics for vehicle awnings. It applies to awnings intended to be pitched and struck.
ISO 8936:2017 is not applicable to:
a) sun awnings: structure detachable from the vehicle which is used to provide shelter from the sun, but is not designed or constructed to provide shelter from wind, rain or snow;
NOTE 1 A sun awning can be used with additional front and side panels to form an enclosure, but this enclosure would not meet the requirements of an awning as defined in this document.
b) external blinds: structure permanently fixed to a vehicle which is used to provide shelter from the sun, but is not designed or constructed to provide shelter from wind, rain or snow;
NOTE 2 An external blind can be used with additional front and side panels to form an enclosure, but this enclosure would not meet the requirements of an awning as defined in this document.
c) fixed awnings: permanent awning which is not designed for mobile use.
EXAMPLE Awnings equipped with square aluminium frames or timber supporting structures and the possibility to install living compartment windows and doors.
Vorzelte für bewohnbare Freizeitfahrzeuge - Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren (ISO 8936:2017)
Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen, Prüfverfahren sowie Werkstoffleistungsmerkmale für Vorzelte für Fahrzeuge fest. Es gilt für Vorzelte, die für den Auf- und Abbau vorgesehen sind.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für:
a) Sonnendächer: eine vom Fahrzeug abnehmbare Konstruktion, die als Sonnenschutz benutzt wird, aber nicht als Wind , Regen- oder Schneeschutz ausgelegt oder gebaut ist;
ANMERKUNG 1 Ein Sonnendach kann mit zusätzlichen Vorder- und Seitenwänden verwendet werden, um eine Einfassung zu bilden, aber diese Einfassung würde nicht die Anforderungen an ein Vorzelt nach der Definition in diesem Dokument erfüllen.
b) Außenjalousien: eine am Fahrzeug dauerhaft angebrachte Konstruktion, die als Sonnenschutz benutzt wird, aber nicht als Wind , Regen- oder Schneeschutz ausgelegt oder gebaut ist;
ANMERKUNG 2 Außenjalousien können mit zusätzlichen Vorder- und Seitenwänden verwendet werden, um eine Einfassung zu bilden, aber diese Einfassung würde nicht die Anforderungen an ein Vorzelt nach der Definition in diesem Dokument erfüllen.
c) Vordächer: dauerhaftes Vorzelt, das nicht zur mobilen Anwendung vorgesehen ist.
BEISPIEL Vorzelte, die mit viereckigen Aluminiumrahmen oder Holzbauten ausgestattet sind und den Einbau von Wohnräumen mit Fenstern und Türen ermöglichen.

ISO 8936:2017 spécifie les exigences, les méthodes d'essai et les caractéristiques de performance des matériaux applicables aux auvents pour véhicules. Il s'applique aux auvents destinés à être installés et désinstallés.
ISO 8936:2017 n'est pas applicable:
a) aux auvents pare-soleil: structure détachable du véhicule, qui est utilisée pour fournir une protection contre le soleil mais qui n'est ni conçue ni construite pour abriter du vent, de la pluie ou de la neige;
NOTE 1 Un auvent pare-soleil peut être utilisé avec des panneaux avant et latéraux additionnels de façon à former une enceinte qui, cependant, ne répond pas aux exigences requises des auvents telles que définies dans le présent document.

Ta dokument določa zahteve, preskusne metode in lastnosti materiala za predprostore bivalnih vozil. Uporablja se za predprostore, ki se jih postavi in pritrdi.
Ta dokument se ne uporablja za:
a) nadstreške za zaščito pred soncem: strukture, ki jih je mogoče odstraniti z vozila in se uporabljajo za zaščito pred soncem, vendar niso namenjene ali izdelane za zagotavljanje zavetja pred vetrom, dežjem ali snegom;

This document (EN ISO 8936:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 83 "Sports and
other recreational facilities and equipment" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 136
“Sports, playground and other recreational facilities and equipment” the secretariat of which is held by
DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2017 and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by July 2017.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 8936:2009.
