This document specifies the requirements and test procedures for 360° visibility of sit-on self-propelled variable-reach trucks and masted container trucks (herein after referred to as trucks) without a load, specifically designed for the transport of freight containers of 6 m (20 ft) length and longer, in accordance with ISO 5053 1, equipped with a spreader and it is intended to be used in conjunction with EN 16842-1.
Where specific requirements in this part are modified from the general requirements in EN 16842-1, the requirements of this part are truck specific and to be used for sit-on self-propelled variable-reach trucks and masted trucks designed for transport of freight containers of 6 m (20 ft) length and longer.
This part of EN 16842 deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations or hazardous events, relevant to the visibility of the operator for applicable machines when used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.
This standard does not apply to trucks equipped with forks.
Kraftbetriebene Flurförderzeuge - Sichtverhältnisse - Prüfverfahren und Verifikation - Teil 7: Flurförderzeuge mit veränderlicher Reichweite und Mast für Container-Handling für eine Containerlänge von 6 m und länger
Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für die Rundumsicht (360°) von motorkraftbetriebenen Flurförderzeugen mit Fahrersitz und veränderlicher Reichweite und Flurförderzeugen mit Mast (im Folgenden als Flurförderzeuge bezeichnet) sowie ohne Last, die speziell für den Transport von Frachtcontainern von mindestens 6 m (20 Fuß) Länge entwickelt und mit einem Spreader ausgestattet sind, in Übereinstimmung mit ISO 5053 1 fest. Es ist dafür vorgesehen, in Verbindung mit EN 16842 1 angewendet zu werden.
Wenn spezifische Anforderungen in diesem Teil von den allgemeinen Anforderungen in EN 16842 1 abweichen, sind die Anforderungen in diesem Teil für das Flurförderzeug spezifisch und für motorkraftbetriebene Flurförderzeuge mit veränderlicher Reichweite und sitzendem Fahrer und Flurförderzeuge mit Mast zum Handling von Frachtcontainern mit einer Länge von mindestens 6 m (20 Fuß) anzuwenden.
Dieser Teil von EN 16842 behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen oder Gefährdungsereignisse, die für die Sichtverhältnisse des Bedieners für die betreffenden Maschinen relevant sind, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und unter Bedingungen, die vom Hersteller als Fehlanwendung vernünftigerweise vorhersehbar sind, verwendet werden.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Flurförderzeuge mit Gabeln.

Le présent document spécifie les prescriptions et les modes opératoires relatifs à la visibilité sur 360° des chariots de manutention automoteurs à conducteur assis à portée variable et des chariots à mât manutentionnant des conteneur (ci-après désignés chariots) sans charge spécifiquement conçu pour le transport de conteneurs de fret de 6 m (20 ft) de long et plus, conformes à l'ISO 5053-1, équipé d'un palonnier et il est destiné à être utilisé conjointement avec l’EN 16842-1.
Lorsque des prescriptions spécifiques de la présente partie sont modifiées par rapport aux prescriptions générales de l’EN 16842-1, les prescriptions de la présente partie sont spécifiques au chariot et sont à utiliser pour les chariots de manutention automoteurs à conducteur assis à portée variable et les chariots à mât conçus pour le transport des conteneurs de fret de 6 m (20 ft) de long et plus.
La présente partie de l'EN 16842 traite de tous les phénomènes dangereux, situations dangereuses ou événements dangereux significatifs relatifs à la visibilité du conducteur pour les machines concernées lorsqu'elles sont utilisées comme prévu et dans des conditions de mauvaise utilisation raisonnablement prévisible par le fabricant.
La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux chariots équipés de fourches.

Ta evropski standard določa zahteve in preskusne postopke za 360-stopinjsko vidno polje voznika pri samognanih industrijskih tovornih zabojnikih s kontejnerji s spremenljivim dosegom (v nadaljevanju »vozilo«), posebej zasnovanih za prevoz šest- ali večmetrskih tovornih zabojnikov, opremljenih s prijemalom v skladu s standardom ISO 5053-1, ter je predviden za uporabo skupaj s standardom FprEN 16842-1.
Kjer so posebne zahteve v tem delu spremenjene tako, da se razlikujejo od splošnih zahtev v standardu FprEN 16842-1, so zahteve iz tega dela posebne zahteve za vozila in se uporabljajo za samognane industrijske tovorne zabojnike s kontejnerji s spremenljivim dosegom.
Ta del standarda EN 16842 opisuje vsa večja tveganja, nevarne situacije in nevarne dogodke, kot je navedeno v dodatku ZA, preglednici ZA.1, v zvezi z vidnim poljem upravljavca pri ustreznih strojih, kadar se uporabljajo v skladu z njihovim namenom in pod pogoji pričakovane nepravilne uporabe, ki jih določa proizvajalec.

This document (EN 16842-7:2018) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 150 “Industrial
trucks - Safety”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2019, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2019.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This European Standard is intended to be used in combination with the requirements in EN 16842-1.
EN 16842 consists of the following parts under the general title "Powered industrial trucks – Visibility –
Test methods and verification":

— Part 2: Sit-on counterbalance trucks and rough terrain masted trucks up to and including 10 000 kg
capacity;
— Part 3: Reach trucks up to and including 10 000 kg capacity;
— Part 4: Industrial variable-reach trucks up to and including 10 000 kg capacity;
— Part 5: Industrial variable-reach trucks greater than 10 000 kg capacity (in preparation);
— Part 6: Sit-on counterbalance trucks and rough terrain masted trucks greater than 10 000 kg
capacity;
— Part 7: Variable-reach and masted container trucks handling freight containers of 6 m (20 ft) length
and longer;
— Part 8: Stand on counterbalance trucks up to and including 10 000 kg capacity (in preparation);
— Part 9: Order-picking, lateral- and front-stacking trucks with elevating operator position;
— Part 10: Towing and pushing tractors and burden carriers
It is intended to develop additional parts related to the following machinery:
— Pallet stacking trucks (rider controlled);
— Single side loader;
— Multi-directional forklift truck;
— Articulated counterbalance lift truck;
— Non stacking low lift straddle carriers (as defined in ISO 5053-1:2015, 3.18);
— Stacking high lift straddle carriers (as defined in ISO 5053-1:2015, 3.19).
