ISO 25239-5:2011 specifies a method for determining the capability of a manufacturer to use the friction stir welding (FSW) process for production of products of the specified quality. It specifies quality requirements, but does not assign those requirements to any specific product group.
In ISO 25239-5:2011, the term "aluminium" refers to aluminium and its alloys.
ISO 25239-5:2011 does not apply to friction stir spot welding.

Der Begriff „Aluminium“ bezieht sich in diesem Teil der ISO 25239 auf Aluminium und seine Legierungen. Dieser Teil der ISO 25239 gilt nicht für das Rührreibpunktschweißen.

L'ISO 25239-5:2011 spécifie une méthode permettant de déterminer l'aptitude d'un fabricant à utiliser le procédé de soudage par friction-malaxage pour la fabrication de produits ayant la qualité spécifiée. Elle spécifie des exigences de qualité, mais n'assigne pas ces exigences à un groupe spécifique de produits.
Dans l'ISO 25239-5:2011, le terme «aluminium» se rapporte à l'aluminium et ses alliages.
L'ISO 25239-5:2011 ne s'applique pas au soudage par points par friction-malaxage.
Varjenje z gnetenjem - Aluminij - 5. del: Zahteve za kakovost in kontrolo (ISO 25239-5:2011)
Ta del standarda ISO 25239 določa metodo za ugotavljanje zmožnosti proizvajalca za uporabo postopka za varjenje aluminija z gnetenjem pri proizvodnji izdelkov navedene kakovosti. Določa zahteve glede kakovosti, vendar teh zahtev ne omeji na nobeno skupino izdelkov. V tem delu standarda ISO 25239 se izraz »aluminij« nanaša na aluminij in njegove zlitine. Varjene konstrukcije so učinkovite, če pri njihovi proizvodnji in uporabi ni resnih težav. Za dosego tega cilja je treba zagotoviti kontrolo od faze projektiranja do izbire materiala, proizvodnje in pregledovanja. Slabo projektiranje lahko na primer povzroči resne in drage težave v delavnici, na terenu ali pri uporabi. Napačno izbrani materiali lahko povzročijo težave pri varjenju, na primer razpokanost. Varilni postopki morajo biti pravilno izraženi in kvalificirani, da se preprečijo nepravilnosti. Odgovorne osebe morajo, da bi zagotovile kakovostne izdelke, razumeti vire morebitnih težav in uvesti ustrezne postopke za zagotavljanje kakovosti in pregledovanje. Za dosego navedene kakovosti je treba uvesti nadzor.
