Corrosion of metals and alloys - Alternate immersion test in salt solution (ISO 11130:2010)

ISO 11130:2010 specifies a method for assessing the corrosion resistance of metals by an alternate immersion test in salt solution, with or without applied stress.
The test is particularly suitable for quality control during the manufacture of metals including aluminium alloys and ferrous materials, and also for assessment purposes during alloy development.
Depending upon the chemical composition of the test solution, the test can be used to simulate the corrosive effects of marine splash zones, de-icing fluids and acid salt environments.
The term “metal” as used in ISO 11130:2010 includes metallic materials with or without corrosion protection.
The alternate immersion test applies to
metals and their alloys,
certain metallic coatings (anodic and cathodic with respect to the substrate),
certain conversion coatings,
certain anodic oxide coating, and
organic coatings on metals.
ISO 11130:2010 is not applicable to stainless steel.

Diese Internationalen Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Beurteilung der Korrosionsbeständigkeit von Metallen mit
Hilfe einer Wechseltauchprüfung in Salzlösung, mit oder ohne mechanischer Beanspruchung fest.
Die Prüfung ist besonders als Prüfung zur Qualitätssteuerung bei der Herstellung von Metallen (einschließlich
Aluminiumlegierungen und Eisenwerkstoffen) sowie bei der Entwicklung von Legierungen für Bewertungszwecke
geeignet.
In Abhängigkeit von der chemischen Zusammensetzung der Prüflösung kann die Prüfung angewendet
werden, um die Korrosionswirkung von Meerwasser in der Spritzwasserzone, von Enteisungsflüssigkeiten
sowie von einer säure- und salzhaltigen Umgebung zu simulieren.
Die Benennung „Metall“ im Sinne dieser Internationalen Norm schließt metallische Werkstoffe sowohl mit als
auch ohne Korrosionsschutz ein.
Die Wechseltauchprüfung gilt für:
⎯ Metalle und deren Legierungen,
⎯ bestimmte metallische Überzüge (anodisch und kathodisch bezogen auf den Grundwerkstoff),
⎯ bestimmte Umwandlungsüberzüge,
⎯ bestimmte anodische Oxidüberzüge, und
⎯ organische Überzüge auf Metallen.
Diese Internationale Norm ist nicht anwendbar für rostfreien Stahl.

L'ISO 11130:2010 spécifie une méthode permettant d'évaluer la résistance à la corrosion des métaux par un essai en immersions alternées en solution saline, avec ou sans application d'une contrainte.
Cet essai est particulièrement adapté comme essai de contrôle qualité effectué au cours de la production des métaux, y compris les alliages d'aluminium et les matériaux ferreux, ainsi que pour des besoins d'évaluation durant la mise au point d'alliages.
Selon la composition chimique de la solution d'essai, cet essai peut être utilisé pour simuler les effets corrosifs des projections d'eau de mer, des sels de déverglaçage ou des environnements salins acides.
Dans l'ISO 11130:2010, le terme «métal» est utilisé pour désigner tous les matériaux métalliques avec ou sans protection contre la corrosion.
L'essai en immersions alternées s'applique
aux métaux et à leurs alliages,
à certains revêtements métalliques (anodiques ou cathodiques par rapport au substrat),
à certaines couches de conversion,
à certains revêtements formés par oxydation anodique, et
aux revêtements organiques sur métaux.
L'ISO 11130:2010 n'est pas applicable aux aciers inoxydables.

Korozija kovin in zlitin - Preskus z izmeničnim potapljanjem v raztopinah soli (ISO 11130:2010)

Ta mednarodni standard določa metodo za ocenjevanje korozijske odpornosti kovin s preskusom z izmeničnim potapljanjem v raztopinah soli, z uporabo obremenitve ali brez. Preskus je primeren predvsem za nadzor kakovosti med proizvodnjo kovin, vključno z aluminijevimi zlitinami in železnimi materiali, in tudi za ocenjevanje med razvijanjem zlitine. Odvisno od kemične sestave preskusne raztopine se preskus lahko uporablja za simulacijo jedkih učinkov območij pljuskanja morja, tekočin za odtajanje in okoljih s kislimi solmi. Izraz »kovina«, kot se uporablja v tem mednarodnem standardu, vključuje kovinske materiale z zaščito proti koroziji ali brez. Preskus z izmeničnim potapljanjem se uporablja pri – kovinah in njihovih zlitinah, - določenih kovinskih prevlekah (anodnih in katodnih glede na substrat), - določenih pretvorbenih prevlekah, - določenih anodnih oksidnih prevlekah, in – organskih prevlekah na kovinah. This document (EN ISO 11130:2010) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 156 "Corrosion of
metals and alloys" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 262 “Metallic and other inorganic
coatings” the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2010, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by December 2010.
