Inflatable play equipment. - Part 4: Additional safety requirements and test methods for bungee runs
This part of EN 14960 is applicable to inflatable play equipment intended for use by children fourteen years
and under, both individually and collectively.
This part of EN 14960 specifies additional safety requirements for bungee runs for which the primary
activities are climbing and sliding. It sets measures to address risks and also to minimize accidents to users for those involved in the design, manufacture and supply of inflatable play equipment. It specifies
information to be supplied with the equipment. The requirements have been laid down bearing in mind the
risk factor based on available data.
This part of the EN 14960 specifies requirements to protect a child from hazards that he or she might be
unable to foresee when using the equipment as intended, or in a manner that can be reasonably anticipated.
This part of the EN 14960 is not applicable to inflatable water-borne play and leisure equipment, domestic
inflatable toys, air-supported buildings, inflatables used solely for protection, inflatables used for rescue, or
other types of inflatable toys where the primary activity is not bouncing or sliding.

Dieses Dokument legt zusätzliche sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen an aufblasbare Bungeeruns fest und sollte in Verbindung mit Teil1 gelesen werden (siehe AnhangA).
Dieses Dokument ist für aufblasbare Spielgeräte anwendbar, die für die Benutzung durch Personen mit einer Mindestkörperhöhe von 1200mm und einer Höchstmasse von 120kg vorgesehen sind.
Dieses Dokument legt sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen für ein aufblasbares Spiel fest, bei dem die Haupt
aktivität darin besteht, horizontal gegen ein befestigtes Bungee-Elastikseil anzulaufen. Es legt Maßnahmen für die Handhabung von Gefahren und auch für die Begrenzung von Unfällen der Benutzer auf ein Mindestmaß fest, die von den mit der Konstruktion, Herstellung und Lieferung des aufblasbaren Spieles befassten Stellen zu beachten sind.
Es legt die mit dem Gerät mitzuliefernden Informationen fest. Die Anforderungen wurden unter Berücksichti
gung des Risikofaktors auf der Grundlage verfügbarer Daten festgelegt.
Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen fest, durch die die Benutzer vor Gefahren geschützt werden, die diese möglicherweise nicht vorhersehen könnten, wenn sie das Gerät bestimmungsgemäß oder wie vernünftiger
weise vorhersehbar benutzen.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für aufblasbare Spiel- und Freizeitgeräte zur Verwendung auf dem Wasser, aufblas
bares Spielzeug für den privaten Gebrauch, Tragluftbauten und die nur zum Schutz und zur Rettung
ten aufblasbaren Geräte oder andere Arten von aufblasbarem Spielzeug, bei dem die Hauptbetätigung nicht das horizontale Anlaufen gegen ein befestigtes Bungee-Elastikseil ist.
Um die Anwendung dieses Dokumentes nicht nur auf die Geräte zu beschränken, die derzeit in Gebrauch sind, und um Gestaltungsspielraum für die Herstellung neuer Geräte zuzulassen, werden in Abschnitt3 lediglich die grundlegenden Formen von Geräten und Bewegungen festgelegt.

Le présent document spécifie des exigences de sécurité supplémentaires pour les équipements de course à l’élastique (ou « bungee run », en anglais) et il convient qu’il soit lu conjointement avec la partie 1 (voir l’Annexe A).
Le présent document s’applique aux équipements de jeu gonflables destinés à être utilisés par des personnes mesurant au moins 1 200 mm et pesant au maximum 120 kg.
Le présent document spécifie des exigences de sécurité relatives à un jeu gonflable dont la principale activité consiste à tirer horizontalement sur une corde élastique sécurisée. Il présente des mesures permettant de faire face aux risques et également de réduire au minimum le nombre d’accidents d’utilisateurs, à l’intention des personnes impliquées dans la conception, la fabrication et la fourniture de jeux gonflables.
Il spécifie les informations à fournir avec l’équipement. Ces exigences ont été établies en tenant compte du facteur de risque basé sur les données disponibles.
Le présent document spécifie les exigences permettant de protéger les utilisateurs contre les risques qu’ils peuvent ne pas être en capacité de prévoir lors de l’utilisation normale de l’équipement ou d’une manière qu’il est possible d’anticiper raisonnablement.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux équipements ludiques de loisirs gonflables flottants, aux jouets gonflables domestiques, aux constructions pneumatiques, aux structures gonflables utilisées uniquement pour la protection, aux équipements gonflables utilisés pour le sauvetage, ni à d’autres types de jouets gonflables dont l’activité première n’est pas de tirer horizontalement sur une corde élastique sécurisée.
Afin de ne pas limiter l’application du présent document aux éléments d’équipements actuellement utilisés et de laisser toute liberté de conception pour la fabrication de nouveaux équipements, seules sont définies les formes fondamentales d’équipement et de mouvement définis à l’Article 3.
