This document contains definitions, thread dimension, reference data (minimum bore), supporting information (assembling instructions) and describes the test methods referenced by other parts of the EN 1254 series.
Thread dimensions comprise: wall thickness at threaded portions of fittings, dimensions of tail pipe ends for swivel fittings, dimensions of gas union connectors, thread dimensions and thread profile.
Test methods comprise: leak tightness under internal hydrostatic pressure, leak tightness under internal pneumatic pressure, integrity of fabricated fitting bodies or having an 'as cast' microstructure, resistance to pull out of joints to metallic tubes, resistance of joints with metallic tube to vibration, resistance of joints to static flexural force, leak tightness of joints under vacuum, the resistance of joints to temperature cycling, detecting non-pressed fitting ends, resistance to stress corrosion, detection of a carbon film on the surface of copper fittings, determination of mean depth of dezincification, resistance of joints to pressure cycling, disconnection and re-use, determining if the diameter and/or the length of engagement of a capillary end is/are within the specified tolerance, determining the minimum length of engagement of an integral solder or brazing ring socket having a formed groove.

Dieses Dokument enthält Definitionen, Gewindeabmessungen, Referenzdaten (Mindest Durchgangsquer-schnitt), hilfreiche Informationen (Montageanweisungen) und beschreibt die in anderen Teilen der Normenreihe EN 1254 zitierten Prüfverfahren.
Gewindemaße umfassen: Wanddicke an Gewindeteilen der Fittings, Maße der Endrohranschlüsse für Schwenkfittings, Maße der Gas Verschraubungsanschlüsse, Gewindemaße und Gewindeprofil.
Prüfverfahren umfassen: Dichtheit unter hydrostatischem Innendruck, Dichtheit unter pneumatischem Innendruck, Beständigkeit von Rohrverbindungen gegen statische Biegebeanspruchung, Ausziehwiderstand von Rohrverbindungen, Vakuumdichtheit von Rohrverbindungen, Temperaturwechselbeständigkeit von Verbindungen, Schwingungsbeständigkeit von Verbindungen mit Metallrohren, Integrität der Fittingkörper mit Formgussgefüge bzw. der gefertigten Fittingkörper, Spannungsrisskorrosionsbeständigkeit, Auffinden eines Kohlenstoff Films auf der Oberfläche von Kupferfittings, Bestimmung der mittleren Entzinkungstiefe, Druckwechselbeständigkeit von Verbindungen, Lösen und Wiederverwenden, Bestimmung, ob der Durchmesser und/oder die Lötlänge eines Kapillarfittings innerhalb der festgelegten Toleranz liegt, Bestimmung der Mindest Lötlänge eines Innenlötendes mit integriertem Weich bzw. Hartlötring und ausgeformter Nut.

Le présent document contient les définitions, les dimensions du filetage, les données de référence
(passage minimal), les informations supports (instructions d’assemblage) et décrit les méthodes d'essai
citées en référence par d’autres parties de la série EN 1254.
Les dimensions du filetage comprennent : l’épaisseur de paroi au niveau des parties filetées des raccords,
les dimensions des extrémités des tuyaux de sortie pour les raccords à écrou tournant, les dimensions
des rccords union pour le gaz, les dimensions du filetage et le profil du filetage.
Les méthodes d’essai comprennent : étanchéité sous pression hydrostatique interne, étanchéité sous
pression pneumatique interne, intégrité des corps de raccords ayant une microstructure « moulée » ou
mécanosoudés, résistance à la traction des raccordements des tubes métalliques, résistance des
raccordements avec tube métallique aux vibrations, résistance des raccordements à la force de flexion
statique, étanchéité des raccordements sous vide, résistance des raccordements aux cycles thermiques,
détection des extrémités de raccords non sertis, résistance à la corrosion sous contrainte, détection d’un
film de carbone sur la surface des raccords en cuivre, détermination de la profondeur moyenne de
dézincification, résistance des raccordements aux cycles de pression, déconnexion et réutilisation,
détermination si le diamètre et/ou la longueur de l’emboîtement d'une extrémité capillaire est/sont
incluses dans les tolérances spécifiées, détermination de la longueur d’emboîtement minimale d’une
extrémité femelle à anneau de brasure (tendre ou forte) incorporé pourvue d'une rainure façonnée.
