Insulators for overhead lines with a nominal voltage above 1 000 V - Part 1: Ceramic or glass insulator units for a.c. systems - Definitions, test methods and acceptance criteria
This part of IEC 60383 applies to insulators of ceramic material or glass for use on a.c. overhead power lines and overhead traction lines with a nominal voltage greater than 1 000 V and a frequency not greater than 100 Hz. It also applies to insulators for use on d.c. overhead electric traction lines. This part applies to string insulator units, rigid overhead line insulators and to insulators of similar design when used in substations. lt does not apply to insulators forming parts of electrical apparatus or to parts used in their construction or to post insulators which are covered by IEC 60168: Tests on indoor and outdoor post insulators of ceramic material or glass for systems with nominal voltages greater than 1 000 V. Tests on insulator strings and insulator sets (for example, wet switching impulse voltage) are dealt with in part 2 of IEC 60383. The object of this part is: - to define the terms used - to define insulator characteristics and to prescribe the conditions under which the specified values of these characteristics shall be verified - to prescribe test methods - to prescribe acceptance criteria. This part does not include requirements dealing with the choice of insulators for specific operating conditions. Specific requirements on the use of coatings on ceramic or glass insulators are described in the informative Annex C. NOTE A guide for the choice of insulators under polluted conditions has been published, see IEC 60815-1 and -2. Numerical values for insulator characteristics are specified in IEC 60305, IEC 60433 and IEC 60720.

L'IEC 60383-1:2023 s’applique aux isolateurs en céramique ou en verre destinés aux lignes aériennes de transport d’énergie et de traction électrique fonctionnant en courant alternatif à une tension nominale supérieure à 1 000 V et à une fréquence maximale de 100 Hz. Elle s’applique également aux isolateurs utilisés sur des lignes aériennes de traction électrique fonctionnant en courant continu. Le présent document s’applique aux éléments de chaînes d’isolateurs, aux isolateurs rigides de ligne aériennes et aux isolateurs de conception similaire lorsqu’ils sont utilisés dans les sous-stations. Il ne s’applique ni aux isolateurs utilisés dans les appareillages électriques, ni aux éléments utilisés pour leur construction, ni aux supports isolants qui font l’objet de l’IEC 60168, Essais des supports isolants d’intérieur et d’extérieur, en matière céramique ou en verre, destinés à des installations de tension nominale supérieure à 1 000 V. Le présent document a pour objet: - de définir les termes employés; - de définir les caractéristiques des isolateurs et de spécifier les conditions dans lesquelles les valeurs spécifiées de ces caractéristiques doivent être vérifiées; - de décrire les méthodes d’essai; - de fixer les critères d’acceptation. Cette cinquième édition annule et remplace la quatrième édition parue en 1993. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l’édition précédente: a) La mise en page du document a été modifiée pour une meilleure lisibilité; b) l’essai de RIV a été ajouté (Article 14); c) l’essai de perforation par chocs dans l’air a été ajouté (15.2); d) l’essai de résistance résiduelle a été ajouté (Article 21); e) l’essai de la bague de zinc a été ajouté (Article 28); f) l’essai d’impact a été ajouté (Article 30); g) l’Annexe C relative aux revêtements des isolateurs en céramique et en verre, a été ajoutée; h) l’Annexe D relative aux essais d’impact a été ajoutée.

Ta del standarda IEC 60383 se uporablja za keramične ali steklene izolatorje za uporabo v izmeničnih nadzemnih električnih vodih in nadzemnih vlečnih vodih z nazivno napetostjo nad 1000 V in frekvenco, ki ne presega 100 Hz. Uporablja se tudi za izolatorje za uporabo v enosmernih nadzemnih električnih vlečnih vodih.
Ta del se uporablja za člene izolatorskega niza, izolatorje togih nadzemnih vodov in izolatorje podobne zasnove, kadar se uporabljajo v razdelilnih postajah.

– določiti merila sprejemljivosti.
Ta del ne vključuje zahtev, ki obravnavajo izbiro izolatorjev za posebne obratovalne pogoje.
Posebne zahteve za uporabo prevlek na keramičnih ali steklenih izolatorjih so opisane v informativnem dodatku C.
OPOMBA: Objavljen je bil vodnik za izbiro izolatorjev v onesnaženih pogojih (glej standard IEC 60815-1 in -2).
