Ta dokument obravnava nadzor okolja v podatkovnih centrih na podlagi kriterijev in klasifikacij za »dostopnost«, »varnost« ter »omogočanje energetske učinkovitosti« v okviru standarda EN 50600-1.
Ta dokument določa zahteve in podaja priporočila za:
a) nadzor temperature;
b) nadzor pretoka tekočin;
c) nadzor relativne vlažnosti;
d) nadzor delcev;
e) vibracije;
f) fizično varnost sistemov za nadzor okolja.
Varnostne zahteve in zahteve za elektromagnetno združljivost (EMC) ne spadajo na področje uporabe tega evropskega standarda ter so obravnavane v drugih standardih in predpisih. Vendar so lahko informacije iz tega evropskega standarda v pomoč pri izpolnjevanju teh standardov in predpisov.
