This part of EN 61000 defines the immunity test methods and range of preferred test levels for electrical and electronic equipment connected to low-voltage power supply networks for voltage dips, short interruptions, and voltage variations. This standard applies to electrical and electronic equipment having a rated input current exceeding 16 A per phase. It covers equipment installed in residential areas as well as industrial machinery, specifically voltage dips and short interruptions for equipment connected to either 50 Hz or 60 Hz a.c. networks, including 1-phase and 3-phase mains. The object of this standard is to establish a common reference for evaluating the immunity of electrical and electronic equipment when subjected to voltage dips, short interruptions and voltage variations. The test method documented in this part of EN 61000 describes a consistent method to assess the immunity of equipment or a system against a defined phenomenon. It has the status of a Basic EMC Publication in accordance with IEC Guide 107.

La présente partie de la EN 61000 définit les méthodes d'essai d'immunité ainsi que la gamme des niveaux d'essais préférés pour les matériels électriques et électroniques connectés à des réseaux d'alimentation basse tension pour les creux de tension, les coupures brèves et les variations de tension. La présente norme s'applique aux matériels électriques et électroniques dont le courant nominal d'entrée dépasse 16 A par phase. Elle s'applique aux matériels installés dans des environnements résidentiels de même qu'aux matériels industriels, pour l'aspect creux de tension et coupures brèves des équipements, monophasés et triphasés, reliés à des réseaux électriques alternatif de 50 Hz ou 60 Hz. Le but de cette norme est d'établir une référence commune pour l'évaluation de l'immunité fonctionnelle des matériels électriques et électroniques soumis à des creux de tension, à des coupures brèves et à des variations de tension. La méthode d'essai décrite dans la présente partie de la EN 61000 détaille une méthode sans faille pour estimer l'immunité d'un matériel ou d'un système à un phénomène prédéfini. Elle a le statut de publication fondamentale en CEM conformément au Guide 107 de la CEI.

Ta del IEC 61000 določa metode preskušanja odpornosti in obseg priporočenih preskusnih nivojev za električno in elektronsko opremo, priključeno na nizkonapetostno napajalno omrežje, za upade napetosti, kratke prekinitve in spreminjanja napetosti.
Ta standard se uporablja za električno in elektronsko opremo, katere naznačeni vhodni tok presega 16 A na fazo. Zajema opremo v stanovanjskih območjih in tudi industrijske stroje, posebej upade napetosti in kratke prekinitve za opremo, ki je priključena na izmenična omrežja s 50 Hz ali 60 Hz, vključno z enofaznimi in trifaznimi omrežji.
OPOMBA 1:   Opremo z naznačenim tokom 16 A ali manj na fazo obravnava publikacija IEC 61000-4-11.
OPOMBA 2:   V tej publikaciji ni določena zgornja meja naznačenega vhodnega toka. Vendar je v nekaterih državah naznačeni vhodni tok lahko omejen z zgornjo vrednostjo, na primer 75 A ali 250 A, zaradi  obveznih varnostnih standardov.
Standard se ne uporablja za električno in elektronsko opremo za priklop na izmenična omrežja 400 Hz. Preskuse za opremo, priključeno na ta omrežja, bodo obravnavali prihodnji standardi IEC.
Predmet tega standarda je uveljaviti skupna priporočila za ovrednotenje odpornosti električne in elektronske opreme, kadar je izpostavljena upadom napetosti, kratkim prekinitvam in spreminjanju napetosti.
OPOMBA 1:   Spreminjanja napetosti obravnava publikacija IEC 61000-4-14.
OPOMBA 2:   Za opremo, preskušano z naznačenimi toki nad 250 A, je morda težko dobiti ustrezno preskusno opremo. V teh primerih naj uporabnost tega standarda skrbno ovrednotijo odbori, odgovorni za splošne standarde, standarde za proizvode in standarde za skupine proizvodov. Namesto tega se lahko ta standard uporabi kot okvir za dogovor o tehničnih merilih med proizvajalcem in kupcem.
V tem delu IEC 61000 dokumentirana preskusna metoda opisuje usklajeno metodo za ocenjevanje odpornosti opreme ali sistema proti določenemu pojavu. Kot je opisano v IEC Vodilu 107, je to osnovna publikacija o EMC za uporabo odborom IEC o proizvodih. Kot je prav tako določeno v Vodilu 107, so odbori IEC za proizvode odgovorni za odločanje, ali naj se ta standard odpornosti uporabi ali pa ne, in če je uporabljen, so odgovorni za določitev ustreznih preskusnih nivojev. frequency phenomena, of IEC TC 77, Electromagnetic compatibility, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC
parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 61000-4-34 on 2007-04-01.
The following dates were fixed:

at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2008-01-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting

NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR

Evropski standard EN 61000-4-34:2007 je pripravil tehnični odbor CLC/TC 210 Elektromagnetna
združljivost (EMC). Slovenski standard SIST EN 61000-4-34:2007 je prevod evropskega standarda EN
61000-4-34:2007. V primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni
evropski standard v angleškem jeziku. Slovensko izdajo standarda je potrdil tehnični odbor SIST/TC EMC
