IEC 60947-5-1:2016 is available as IEC 60947-5-1:2016 RLV which contains the International Standard and its Redline version, showing all changes of the technical content compared to the previous edition. IEC 60947-5-1:2016 applies to control circuit devices and switching elements intended for controlling, signalling, interlocking, etc., of switchgear and controlgear. It applies to control circuit devices having a rated voltage not exceeding 1 000 V a.c. (at a frequency not exceeding 1 000 Hz) or 600 V d.c. This fourth edition cancels and replaces the third edition published in 2003 and its Amendment 1:2009. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: a) update of normative references; b) update and restructuration of subclauses in 7.1; c) addition of material requirements and test; d) udpate of EMC requirements; e) clarification of requirements and update of 8.2; f) addition of requirements for screwless-type clamping units; g) udpate of existing Tables 4 and 5; h) addition of new Tables 6, 7, 8 and 9; i) addition of a new Figure 10 ; j) addition of a new Annex N. This publication is to be read in conjunction with IEC 60947-1:2007.

L'IEC 60947-5-1:2016 est applicable aux appareils pour circuits de commande et aux éléments de commutation destinés à la commande, la signalisation, le verrouillage, etc., de l'appareillage. Elle est applicable aux appareils pour circuits de commande dont la tension assignée ne dépasse pas 1 000 V en courant alternatif (à une fréquence ne dépassant pas 1 000 Hz) ou 600 V en courant continu. Cette quatrième édition annule et remplace la troisième édition parue en 2003 et l'Amendement 1:2009. Cette édition constitue une révision technique. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente: a) mise à jour des références normatives; b) mise à jour et restructuration des paragraphes du 7.1; c) addition des exigences et de l'essai relatif aux matériaux; d) mise à jour des exigences CEM; e) clarification des exigences et mise à jour du 8.2; f) addition des exigences pour les organes de serrage sans vis; g) mise à jour des Tableaux 4 et 5 existants; h) addition des nouveaux Tableaux 6,7, 8 et 9; i) addition de la nouvelle Figure 10; j) addition de la nouvelle Annexe N. Ta del standarda IEC 60947 se uporablja za krmilne naprave in stikalne elemente za krmiljenje, signalizacijo, spajanje itd. stikalnih in krmilnih naprav.
Uporablja se za krmilne naprave z nazivno napetostjo, ki ne presega 1000 V pri izmeničnem toku (pri frekvenci, ki ne presega 1000 Hz) ali 600 V pri enosmernem toku.
Za delovne napetosti pod 100 V pri izmeničnem ali enosmernem toku glej 4.3.2.2.
Ta standard se uporablja za posebne vrste krmilnih naprav:
• ročna krmilna stikala, na primer tipke, vrtljiva stikala, nožna stikala itd.;
• elektromagnetna krmilna stikala, zakasnitvena ali takojšnja, na primer kontaktorski releji;
• avtomatična krmilna stikala, na primer tlačna stikala, temperaturno občutljiva stikala (termostati), programatorji itd.;
• položajna stikala, na primer krmilna stikala, ki se upravljajo z delom stroja ali mehanizmom;
• povezana oprema za tokokroge, na primer indikatorske luči itd.
OPOMBA 1: Krmilna naprava vključuje (a) krmilna stikala in povezane naprave, kot so indikatorske luči.
OPOMBA 2: Krmilna stikala vključujejo (a) stikalne elemente in sistem za aktivacijo.
OPOMBA 3: Stikalni element je lahko kontaktni ali polprevodniški element.
Uporablja se tudi za posebne vrste stikalnih elementov, ki so povezani z drugimi napravami (njihove glavne tokokroge zajemajo drugi standardi), kot so:
• pomožni kontakti stikalne naprave (npr. kontaktor, odklopnik itd.), ki niso namenjeni izključno za uporabo s tuljavo te naprave;

Kontaktorski releji so v skladu tudi z zahtevami in preskusi standarda IEC 60947-4-1, razen kategorije uporabe, ki je v skladu s tem standardom.
Ta standard ne vključuje relejev, ki so zajeti v skupini standardov IEC 60255 ali IEC 61810, in samodejnih električnih krmilnih naprav za gospodinjske in podobne namene.

26 February 2014 on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available
