Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components - Basic test and measurement procedures - Part 2-22: Tests - Change of temperature

This part of IEC 61300 describes a procedure to determine the suitability of a fibre optic device to withstand the effects of a change of temperature or a succession of changes of temperature. The first edition specifies tests Na and Nb of IEC 60068-2-14, however this edition describes the test method of Nb and specifies "optional cycle" for some other performance categories.

La première édition spécifie les essais Na et Nb de la CEI 60068-2-14, cette édition décrit la procédure des essais Nb et spécifie un " cycle facultatif " pour quelques autres catégories de performance.

Foreword
The text of document 86B/2440/FDIS, future edition 2 of IEC 61300-2-22, prepared by SC 86B, Fibre
optic interconnecting devices and passive components, of IEC TC 86, Fibre optics, was submitted to the
IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 61300-2-22 on 2007-04-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 61300-2-22:1997.
EN 61300-2-22:1997 specifies tests Na and Nb of EN 60068-2-14, however this EN 61300-2-22:2007
describes the test method of Nb and specifies “optional cycle” for some other performance categories.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
(dop) 2008-01-01
national standard or by endorsement
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
