Operation of electrical installations - Part 2: National annexes
The European Standard EN 50110 series consists of two parts: - the first part, EN 50110 1, contains minimum requirements valid for all CENELEC countries and some additional informative annexes dealing with safe working; - the second part, prEN 50110 2, is a set of national annexes (one per each member country) which specify either additional safety requirements actually in force or national supplements to the minimum requirements set by EN 50110-1. The national annexes are the responsibility of an have to be maintained by the respective member country. National Committees shall notify CENELEC of any changes needed to their national annex.

Evropski standard serije EN 50110 je sestavljen iz dveh delov:
– prvi del, EN 50110 1, vsebuje minimalne zahteve, ki veljajo za vse države, v katerih je pristojen Evropski odbor za elektrotehniško standardizacijo (CENELEC), in nekaj dodatnih informativnih dodatkov, v katerih se obravnava varno delo;
– drugi del, prEN 50110 2, je sklop nacionalnih dodatkov (po en dodatek na posamezno državo članico), ki določa bodisi dodatne veljavne varnostne zahteve bodisi nacionalne dodatke k minimalnim zahtevam, določenim v standardu EN 50110-1.
Za nacionalne dodatke in njihovo vzdrževanje so odgovorne zadevne države članice.
Nacionalni odbori morajo Evropski odbor za elektrotehniško standardizacijo obvestiti o morebitnih spremembah, ki jih je treba vključiti v nacionalni dodatek.

Introduction
The European Standard EN 50110 series consists of two parts:
— the first part, EN 50110-1, contains minimum requirements valid for all CENELEC countries and some
additional informative annexes dealing with safe working;
— the second part, EN 50110-2, is a set of national annexes (one per country) which specify either the
additional present safety requirements or give the national supplements to these minimum requirements at
the time when this document was prepared.
The national annexes are summarized by the respective member country.
National Committees are expected to notify CENELEC of any changes needed to their national annex.
For the user’s understanding, it is important to publish this document in all official CENELEC languages (English,
French and German) (see also the footnotes No. 1 to 4). In effect, every clause in the following example of
structure for each national annex which is marked by index 2 and 4 “Written in all official CENELEC
languages…” will be translated accordingly.
To reduce effort, every national Committee is recommended to prepare these clauses in their own national
annex in English. The French and German translations will be provided by CENELEC with publishing.

Clauses of the French Labour Code implemented by Decree 2010-1118 of 22 September 2010 and revised by
Decree 2016-1318 of 5 October 2016, setting out requirements for the protection of workers who work on or
near electrical installations.
They set requirements for preventive measures in order to eliminate electrical risks or at least reducing them as
much as possible. Dead work is mandatory unless it appears from the risk assessment that it is not technically
feasible or if it creates situations that are even more dangerous.
