Lead-acid starter batteries - Part 2: Dimensions of batteries and marking of terminals

This European Standard is applicable to lead-acid batteries used for starting, lighting and ignition of passenger automobiles and light commercial vehicles with a nominal voltage of 12 V. All batteries in accordance with this European Standard can be fastened to the vehicle either by means of the ledges around the case or by means of a hold-down device engaging with the lid.

Die vorliegende Europäische Norm gilt für Blei-Säure-Batterien, die für das Starten und die Zündung des Motors sowie die Beleuchtung von Personenkraftwagen und leichten Nutzfahrzeugen mit einer Nennspannung von 12 V verwendet werden. Alle Batterien nach dieser Europäischen Norm können am Fahrzeug mit den Bodenleisten um das Gehäuse herum oder mit einer Niederhaltevorrichtung, die in den Deckel eingreift, befestigt werden.

La présente Norme Européenne est applicable aux batteries d’accumulateurs au plomb d'une tension nominale de 12 V utilisées pour le démarrage et l'allumage des moteurs ainsi que pour l'éclairage des véhicules de tourisme et des véhicules utilitaires légers. Toutes les batteries d’accumulateurs conformes à la présente Norme Européenne peuvent être fixées au véhicule au moyen de listeaux autour du bac ou au moyen d'un dispositif de fixation s'appuyant sur le couvercle.
