Določa pravila za krmilne enote, ki opravljajo stikalne funkcije kot odziv na toplotne detektorje, vgrajene v rotacijske električne stroje v skladu s standardom IEC 60034-11, in industrijsko uporabo. Določa pravila za to vrsto sistema s termistorskim detektorjem s pozitivnim temperaturnim koeficientom (PTC) s posebnimi značilnostmi in z njim povezano krmilno enoto. Detektorji PT100 so zajeti v standardu IEC 60751, pri čemer so vrednosti upora podane v skladu s temperaturami detektorja. Ta pravila določajo značilnosti povezave tega termistorskega detektorja s pozitivnim temperaturnim koeficientom in z njim povezane krmilne enote (pri čemer sta označena kot »detektor z oznako A« in »krmilna enota z oznako A«), kadar se uporabljata v toplotnih zaščitnih sistemih. OPOMBA Vseh zahtev za obratovalne značilnosti krmilne enote ni mogoče določiti, saj so odvisne od nekaterih vidikov toplotnih detektorjev. Nekatere vidike zahtev toplotnega zaščitnega sistema je mogoče določiti le ob upoštevanju značilnosti rotacijskega stroja, ki bo zaščiten, in metode vgradnje detektorja v stroj. Zato je treba za vsako značilnost določiti, kdo je odgovoren za navedbo zahtevanih vrednosti, skladnost z zahtevo in izvedbo morebitnih potrditvenih preskusov.

This amendment A2 modifies the European Standard EN 60947-8:2003; it was approved by CENELEC on 2011-
06-22. CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate
the conditions for giving this amendment the status of a national standard without any alteration.

Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on
application to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre or to any CENELEC member.

This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language
made by translation under the responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the
CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the same status as the official versions.
