Mineral insulated metal-sheathed thermocouple cables and thermocouples

IEC 61515:2016 establishes the requirements for simplex, duplex and triplex mineral-insulated metal-sheathed thermocouple cables and thermocouples, which are intended for use in general industrial applications. The abbreviation MIMS (for "mineral-insulated metal-sheathed") will be used hereafter. It covers thermocouple cables and thermocouples with only base-metal conductors of Types T, J, E, K and N. The specifications in this standard apply to new thermocouple cables and thermocouple units as delivered to the user. They do not apply to the product after use. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1995. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: - Duplex and triplex are standardized. - Specification of insulation resistance is revised so that the user can choose the best product to fit for the purpose. - "Table 2 Recommended maximum operating temperatures" in the previous version is expanded significantly including newly developed sheath material and it is moved to Annex C. - Test items and their methods are expanded and a guide table (Table 4) is added for userfriendliness.

L'IEC 61515:2016 établit les exigences relatives aux câbles et couples thermoélectriques à isolation minérale dits "chemisés" de types simplex, duplex et triplex, qui sont destinés à des applications industrielles générales. L'abréviation MIMS (Mineral Insulated Metal-Sheathed) sera utilisée ci-après. Elle concerne les câbles et couples thermoélectriques à conducteurs à base de métaux usuels de types T, J, E, K et N uniquement. Les spécifications définies dans la présente norme s'appliquent aux câbles et ensembles de couples thermoélectriques neufs livrés à l'utilisateur. Elles ne s'appliquent pas au produit usagé. Cette deuxième édition annule et remplace la première édition parue en 1995. Cette édition constitue une révision technique. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente: - Les types duplex et triplex ont été normalisés. - La spécification de la résistance d'isolement a été révisée pour permettre à l'utilisateur de choisir le produit le mieux adapté à l'emploi. - Le Tableau 2 "Températures de fonctionnement maximales recommandées" de la version précédente a été considérablement développé et couvre notamment les matériaux de gainage nouvellement développés. Il a été déplacé à l'Annexe C. - Les types d'essai et leurs méthodes ont été développés, et un tableau indicatif (Tableau 4) a été ajouté pour faciliter la compréhension de l'utilisateur.

Ta mednarodni standard vzpostavlja zahteve za mineralno izolirane kovinsko oplaščene kable termospojev in termospoje za splošno industrijsko uporabo. V nadaljevanju bo uporabljena kratica MIMS (mineralno izolirani kovinsko oplaščeni). Zajema kable termospojev in termospoje s samo kovinskimi prevodniki tipov T, J, E, K in N. Specifikacije v tem standardu se uporabljajo za nove kable termospojev in enote termospojev, kot so dobavljeni uporabniku. Specifikacije se ne uporabljajo za izdelek po njegovi uporabi.
Zunanja tesnila, priključki, povezave in druga dodatna oprema ne spadajo na področje uporabe tega mednarodnega standarda.
Ta standard se ne uporablja za kable termospojev in enote termospojev iz plemenitih kovin. Posebne zahteve za aplikacije jedrskih primarnih zank so obravnavane v drugih standardih.
