Low-voltage electrical installations - Part 5-53: Selection and erection of electrical equipment - Isolation, switching and control - Clause 534: Devices for protection against transient overvoltages

IEC 60364-5-53 deals with general requirements for isolation, switching and control and with the requirements for selection and erection of the devices provided to fulfil such functions. Clause 534 contains provisions for the application of voltage limitation in order to obtain insulation coordination in the cases described in HD 60364-4-44, EN 60664-1, EN 62305-1, EN 62305-4 and CLC/TS 61643-12. Clause 534 focuses mainly on the requirements for the selection and erection of SPDs for protection against transient overvoltages where required by IEC 60364-4-44:2007, Clause 443, the EN 62305 series, or as otherwise specified. Clause 534 does not take into account: - surge protective components which may be incorporated in the appliances connected to the installation; - portable SPDs NOTE Further information can be found in CLC/TS 61643-12. Clause 534 applies to a.c. power circuits. As far as it is applicable, the requirements of this clause may be followed for d.c. power circuits.

L’IEC 60364-5-53 traite des prescriptions générales relatives au sectionnement, à la coupure et à la commande, ainsi que des prescriptions relatives au choix et à la mise en œuvre des dispositifs assurant ces fonctions. L'Article 534 contient des dispositions pour l’application de la limitation de tension afin de réaliser la coordination de l’isolement dans les cas décrits dans le HD 60364-4-44, l'EN 60664-1, l'EN 62305-1, l'EN 62305-4 et la CLC/TS 61643-12. L'Article 534 porte principalement sur les exigences relatives au choix et à l'installation des parafoudres pour la protection contre les surtensions transitoires conformément aux exigences de l'IEC 60364-4-44:2007, Article 443, de la série EN 62305 ou suivant une spécification contraire. L'Article 534 ne prend pas en compte: - les composants de protection contre les surtensions pouvant être incorporés dans les matériels d'utilisation connectés à l'installation; - les parafoudres mobiles. NOTE De plus amples informations sont disponibles dans la CLC/TS 61643-12. L'Article 534 s'applique à des circuits de puissance en courant alternatif. Pour les circuits de puissance en courant continu, les exigences du présent article peuvent s'appliquer autant que possible.

Podaja zahteve za postavitev in izbiro naprav za prenapetostno zaščito v inštalacijah stavb za doseganje omejitve začasne prenapetosti atmosferskega izvora, ki jih prenaša distribucijski sistem, in zaščito pred stikalno prenapetostjo, ki jo povzroči oprema v inštalaciji. Izbira in postavitev naprav za prenapetostno zaščito je potrebna tudi za zaščito pred neposrednimi udari strele ali udari strele v bližini stavb.

The text of document 64/2031/FDIS, future IEC 60364-5-53:2001/A2 prepared by IEC/TC 64 “Electrical
installations and protection against electric shock” was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and
approved by CENELEC as HD 60364-5-534:2016.
A draft amendment, which covers common modifications to IEC 60364-5-53:2001/A2:2015
(64/2031/FDIS), was prepared by CLC/TC 64 “Electrical installations and protection against electric
shock” and approved by CENELEC.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at (dop) 2016-12-14
national level by publication of an identical national
standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2018-12-14
document have to be withdrawn
HD 60364-5-534:2016 supersedes HD 60364-5-534:2008.
HD 60364-5-534:2016 includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous
edition: this document constitutes a complete structural and technical revision of HD 60364-5-534:2008.
The most significant technical change refers to the selection requirements for the voltage protection level.

Ta standard nadomešča SIST HD 60364-5-534:2008.

NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR

Evropski standard HD 60364-5-534:2016 je pripravil tehnični odbor CLC/TC 64 Električne inštalacije in
zaščita pred električnim šokom.

Slovenski standard SIST HD 60364-5-534:2016 je prevod evropskega standarda HD 60364-5-
534:2016. V primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni
evropski standard v angleškem jeziku. Slovensko izdajo standarda je potrdil tehnični odbor SIST/TC ELI
Nizkonapetostne in komunikacijske električne inštalacije.
