Covers type tests for electricity metering equipment for indoor and outdoor application and to newly manufactured equipment designed to measure the electric energy on 50 Hz or 60 Hz networks, with a voltage up to 600 V. It applies to electromechanical or static meters for indoor and outdoor application consisting of a measuring element and register(s) enclosed together in a meter case. It also applies to operation indicator(s) and test output(s)

Couvre les essais de type pour équipements de comptage d'électricité neufs de type intérieur et extérieur, destinés à la mesure de l'énergie électrique sur des réseaux de fréquence de 50 Hz ou 60 Hz, et avec une tension jusqu'à 600 V. Elle n'est applicable qu'aux compteurs électromécaniques ou statiques de types intérieur et extérieur constitués d'un élément de mesure et d'un (des) élément(s) indicateur(s) rassemblés dans un même boîtier.

Ta del standarda IEC 62052 zajema tipsko preskušanje opreme za merjenje električne energije za zunanjo in notranjo montažo in se uporablja za novo izdelano opremo za merjenje električne energije v omrežju 50 Hz ali 60 Hz z napetostjo do 600 V.
Uporablja se za elektromehanske ali statične števce za notranjo in zunanjo montažo, sestavljene iz merilnega elementa in zapisovalnika, priloženega v merilnem ohišju. Uporablja se tudi kot indikator obratovanja in preskusni izhod. Če ima števec merilni element za več vrst energije (multi energijski števci) ali če so drugi funkcionalni elementi, kot so indikatorji maksimuma, elektronski tarifni registri, časovna stikala, kontrolni prejemniki nihanj, podatkovni komunikacijski vmesniki itd., priloženi v merilno ohišje, se uporabljajo ustrezni standardi za te elemente.
Ne uporablja se za:
a) prenosne števce;
b) podatkovne vmesnike, povezane v register števca;
c) referenčne števce.
Ta standard ne zajema mehanskih lastnosti števcev, montiranih v omarici.

Equipment for electrical energy measurement and load control, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC
parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 62052-11 on 2003-03-01.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2003-12-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2006-03-01
Annexes designated "normative" are part of the body of the standard.
Annexes designated "informative" are given for information only.
In this standard, annexes A, B, C, D and ZA are normative and annexes E and F are informative.
