ETSIETSIEN300330-1V1.3.1(2001-06)12Tosimplifyandharmonizethetestingproceduresbetweendifferenttestinglaboratories,measurementsshallbeperformed,accordingtothepresentdocument,onsamplesdefinedinclauses4.2.1and4.2.44.2.1ChoiceofmodelfortestingTheapplicantshallprovideoneormoresamplesoftheequipment,asappropriatefortesting.Standaloneequipmentshallbeofferedbytheapplicantcompletewithanyancillaryequipmentneededfortesting.Ifanequipmenthasseveraloptionalfeatures,considerednottoaffecttheRFparametersthenthetestsneedonlytobeperformedontheequipmentconfiguredwiththatcombinationoffeaturesconsideredtobethemostcomplex,asproposedbytheapplicantandagreedbythetestlaboratory.Wherepracticable,equipmentofferedfortestingshallprovidea50ΩconnectorforconductedRFpowerlevelmeasurements.Inthecaseofintegralantennaequipment,iftheequipmentdoesnothaveainternalpermanent50Ωconnectorthenitispermissibletosupplyasecondsampleoftheequipmentwithatemporaryantennaconnectorfittedtofacilitatetesting,seeclause4.2.3.4.2.2TestingofequipmentwithalternativeradiatedfieldorpowerlevelsIfafamilyofequipmenthasalternativeradiatedfieldstrengthsoroutputpowerlevelsprovidedbytheuseofseparatepowermodulesoraddonstages,thentheseshallbedeclaredbytheapplicant.Eachmoduleoraddonstageshallbetestedincombinationwiththeequipment.Asaminimum,measurementsoftheradiatedpower,eirpandspuriousemissionsshallbeperformedforeachcombinationandshallbestatedinthetestreport.4.2.3Testingofequipmentthatdoesnothaveanexternal50OhmRFconnector(integralantennaequipment)4.2.3.1EquipmentwithaninternalpermanentortemporaryantennaconnectorThemeanstoaccessand/orimplementtheinternalpermanentortemporaryantennaconnectorshallbestatedbytheapplicantwiththeaidofadiagram.Thefactthatusehasbeenmadeoftheinternalantennaconnection,orofatemporaryconnection,tofacilitatemeasurementsshallberecordedinthetestreport.4.2.3.2EquipmentwithatemporaryantennaconnectorTheapplicant,maysubmitonesetofequipmentwiththenormalantennaconnected,toenableradiatedmeasurementstobemade.Theapplicantshallattendthetestlaboratoryattheconclusionoftheradiatedmeasurements,todisconnecttheantennaandfitthetemporaryconnector.Thetestinglaboratorystaffshallnotconnectordisconnectanytemporaryantennaconnector.Alternatively,theapplicantmaysubmittwosetsofequipmenttothetestlaboratory,onefittedwithatemporaryantennaconnectorwiththeantennadisconnectedandanotherequipmentwiththeantennaconnected.Eachequipmentshallbeusedfortheappropriatetests.Theapplicantshalldeclarethatthetwosetsofequipmentareidenticalinallaspectsexceptfortheantennaconnector.4.2.4On-sitetestingIncertaincasesitmaynotbepossibletoproviderepresentativesamplesofantennasand/orequipmentduetophysicalconstraints.Inthesecasesequivalentmeasurementstothepresentdocumentshallbemadeatarepresentativeinstallationoftheequipment(on-site).SIST EN 300 330-1 V1.3.1:2003
ETSIETSIEN300330-1V1.3.1(2001-06)134.3Mechanicalandelectricaldesign4.3.1GeneralTheequipmentsubmittedbytheapplicantshouldbedesigned,constructedandmanufacturedinaccordancewithsoundengineeringpracticeandwiththeaimofminimizingharmfulinterferencetootherequipmentandservices.Transmittersandreceiversmaybeindividualorcombinationunits.4.3.2ControlsThosecontrolswhich,ifmaladjusted,mightincreasetheinterferingpotentialitiesoftheequipmentshallnotbeeasilyaccessibletotheuser.4.3.3Transmittershut-offfacilityIfthetransmitterisequippedwithanautomatictransmittershut-offfacility,itshouldbemadeinoperativeforthedurationofthetest.4.3.4ReceivermuteorsquelchIfthereceiverisequippedwithamute,squelchorbattery-savingcircuit,thiscircuitshallbemadeinoperativeforthedurationofthetests.4.3.5Marking(equipmentidentification)Theequipmentshallbemarkedinavisibleplace.Thismarkingshallbelegibleanddurable.Wherethisisnotpossibleduetophysicalconstraints,themarkingshallbeincludedintheusersmanual.4.3.5.1EquipmentidentificationThemarkingshallincludeasaminimum:-thenameofthemanufacturerorhistrademark;-thetypedesignation;and-equipmentclassification,seeclause4.1.1.4.3.5.2RegulatorymarkingTheequipmentshallbemarked,whereapplicable,inaccordancewithCEPT/ERCRecommendation70-03[3]ortheECCouncilDirective1999/5/EC(R&TTEDirective)[2],whicheverisapplicable.WherethisisnotapplicabletheequipmentshallbemarkedinaccordancewiththeNationalRegulatoryrequirements.4.4DeclarationsbytheapplicantWhensubmittingequipmentfortypetesting,theapplicantshallsupplythenecessaryinformationrequiredbytheappropriateapplicationform.Theperformanceoftheequipmentsubmittedfortypetestingshallberepresentativeoftheperformanceofthecorrespondingproductionmodel.4.5AuxiliarytestequipmentAllnecessarytestsignalsourcesandset-upinformationshallaccompanytheequipmentwhenitissubmittedfortypetesting.SIST EN 300 330-1 V1.3.1:2003
ETSIETSIEN300330-1V1.3.1(2001-06)144.6InterpretationofthemeasurementresultsTheinterpretationoftheresultsrecordedontheappropriatetestreportforthemeasurementsdescribedinthepresentdocumentshallbeasfollows:-themeasuredvaluerelatingtothecorrespondinglimitshallbeusedtodecidewhetheranequipmentmeetstherequirementsofthepresentdocument;-themeasurementuncertaintyvalueforthemeasurementofeachparametershallbeincludedinthetestreport;-therecordedvalueofthemeasurementuncertaintyshall,foreachmeasurement,beequalto,orlowerthan,thefiguresinthetableofmeasurementuncertainty(clause9).5Testconditions,powersourcesandambienttemperatures5.1NormalandextremetestconditionsTypetestingshallbemadeundernormaltestconditions,andalso,wherestated,underextremetestconditions.Thetestconditionsandproceduresshallbeasspecifiedinclauses5.2to5.4.5.2TestpowersourceTheequipmentshallbetestedusingtheappropriatetestpowersourceasspecifiedinclauses5.2.1or5.2.2.Whereequipmentcanbepoweredusingeitherexternalorinternalpowersources,thentheequipmentshallbetestedusingtheexternalpowersourceasspecifiedinclause5.2.1thenrepeatedusingtheinternalpowersourceasspecifiedinclause5.2.2.Thetestpowersourceusedshallbestatedinthetestreport.5.2.1ExternaltestpowersourceDuringtypetests,thepowersourceoftheequipmentshallbereplacedbyanexternaltestpowersourcecapableofproducingnormalandextremetestvoltagesasspecifiedinclauses5.3.2and5.4.2.Theinternalimpedanceoftheexternaltestpowersourceshallbelowenoughforitseffectonthetestresultstobenegligible.Forthepurposeofthetests,thevoltageoftheexternaltestpowersourceshallbemeasuredattheinputterminalsoftheequipment.Theexternaltestpowersourceshallbesuitablyde-coupledasclosetotheequipmentbatteryterminalsaspracticable.Forradiatedmeasurementsanyexternalpowerleadsshouldbesoarrangedsoasnottoaffectthemeasurements.Duringteststhetestpowersourcevoltagesshallbewithinatoleranceof<±1%relativetothevoltageatthebeginningofeachtest.Thevalueofthistolerancecanbecriticalforcertainmeasurements.Usingasmallertolerancewillprovideabetteruncertaintyvalueforthesemeasurements.5.2.2InternaltestpowersourceForradiatedmeasurementsonportableequipmentwithintegralantenna,fullychargedinternalbatteriesshouldbeused.Thebatteriesusedshouldbeassuppliedorrecommendedbytheapplicant.Ifinternalbatteriesareused,attheendofeachtestthevoltageshallbewithinatoleranceof<±5%relativetothevoltageatthebeginningofeachtest.Ifappropriate,forconductedmeasurementsorwhereatestfixtureisused,anexternalpowersupplyattherequiredvoltagemayreplacethesuppliedorrecommendedinternalbatteries.Thisshallbestatedonthetestreport.SIST EN 300 330-1 V1.3.1:2003
ETSIETSIEN300330-1V1.3.1(2001-06)155.3Normaltestconditions5.3.1NormaltemperatureandhumidityThenormaltemperatureandhumidityconditionsfortestsshallbeanyconvenientcombinationoftemperatureandhumiditywithinthefollowingranges:-temperature+15°Cto+35°C;-relativehumidity20%to75%.Whenitisimpracticabletocarryouttestsundertheseconditions,anotetothiseffect,statingtheambienttemperatureandrelativehumidityduringthetests,shallbeaddedtothetestreport.5.3.2Normaltestpowersource5.3.2.1MainsvoltageThenormaltestvoltageforequipmenttobeconnectedtothemainsshallbethenominalmainsvoltage.Forthepurposeofthepresentdocument,thenominalvoltageshallbethedeclaredvoltage,oranyofthedeclaredvoltages,forwhichtheequipmentwasdesigned.Thefrequencyofthetestpowersourcecorrespondingtotheacmainsshallbebetween49Hzand51Hz.5.3.2.2Regulatedlead-acidbatterypowersourcesWhentheradioequipmentisintendedforoperationwiththeusualtypesofregulatedlead-acidbatterypowersource,thenormaltestvoltageshallbe1,1multipliedbythenominalvoltageofthebattery(e.g.6V,12Vetc.).5.3.2.3OtherpowersourcesForoperationfromotherpowersourcesortypesofbattery(primaryorsecondary),thenormaltestvoltageshallbethatdeclaredbytheequipmentapplicantandagreedbytheaccreditedtestlaboratory.Suchvaluesshallbestatedinthetestreport.5.4Extremetestconditions5.4.1Extremetemperatures5.4.1.1ProcedurefortestsatextremetemperaturesBeforemeasurementsaremadetheequipmentshallhavereachedthermalbalanceinthetestchamber.Theequipmentshallbeswitchedoffduringthetemperaturestabilizingperiod.Inthecaseofequipmentcontainingtemperaturestabilizationcircuitsdesignedtooperatecontinuously,thetemperaturestabilizationcircuitsshallbeswitchedonfor15minutesafterthermalbalancehasbeenobtained,andtheequipmentshallthenmeetthespecifiedrequirements.Ifthethermalbalanceisnotcheckedbymeasurements,atemperaturestabilizingperiodofatleastonehour,orsuchperiodasmaybedecidedbytheaccreditedtestlaboratory,shallbeallowed.Thesequenceofmeasurementsshallbechosen,andthehumiditycontentinthetestchambershallbecontrolledsothatexcessivecondensationdoesnotoccur.SIST EN 300 330-1 V1.3.1:2003
