Ta dokument zajema minimalne lastnosti, ki so potrebne za čim učinkovitejšo uporabo frekvenčnega spektra, ki je na voljo za avdio PMSE in podporne slušne pripomočke (ALD).
Ta dokument določa minimalne zahtevane lastnosti in merilne metode podpornih slušnih pripomočkov, radijskih mikrofonov in slušno-monitornih sistemov. Ne vključuje nujno vseh lastnosti, ki bi jih lahko potreboval uporabnik, in ne predstavlja nujno najboljšega mogočega delovanja.
Ta dokument se uporablja za opremo, ki deluje na radijskih frekvencah do 3 GHz (kot je prikazano v preglednici 1), z uporabo analogne in digitalne modulacije ter hibridne modulacije, ki uporablja tako analogno kot digitalno modulacijo.
