2) naprave za radiofrekvenčno identifikacijo (RFID);
3) radiofrekvenčne naprave za zaznavanje, gibanje in opozarjanje.
Te vrste radijske opreme lahko delujejo v dovoljenih frekvenčnih pasovih v razponu od 1 GHz do 40 GHz iz preglednice 1:
1) z radiofrekvenčno (RF) izhodno povezavo in namensko anteno ali z vgrajeno anteno;
2) za vse vrste modulacije;
3) z govorom ali brez.

provide one voluntary means of conforming to the essential requirements of Directive 2014/53/EU on the harmonisation
of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of radio equipment and repealing
Directive 1999/5/EC [i.1].
Once the present document is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive, compliance with
the normative clauses of the present document given in table A.1 confers, within the limits of the scope of the present

9 Draft ETSI EN 300 440 V2.1.0 (2016-05)
Introduction
The present document defines technical requirements to support the essential requirements of clause 3.2 of the Radio
Equipment Directive [i.1] which states "Radio equipment shall be so constructed that it both effectively uses and
supports the efficient use of radio spectrum in order to avoid harmful interference".
The present document describes performance requirements and conformance test procedures for licence exempt Short
Range Devices (SRDs) intending to use frequency bands within the range of 1 GHz to 40 GHz.
Equipment covered by the present document may operate on a specific frequency or may be channel agile and operate
on a number of different frequencies.

10 Draft ETSI EN 300 440 V2.1.0 (2016-05)
1 Scope
The present document applies to the following equipment types:
1) Generic Short Range Devices, including alarms, telecommand, telemetry, data transmission in general, etc.
2) Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID).
3) Radiodetermination, including detection, movement and alert applications.
These radio equipment types are capable of operating in the permitted frequency bands within the 1 GHz to 40 GHz
range as specified in table 1:

Foreword
This final draft Harmonised European Standard (EN) has been produced by ETSI Technical Committee
Electromagnetic compatibility and Radio spectrum Matters (ERM), and is now submitted for the Vote phase of the
ETSI standards EN Approval Procedure.
The present document has been prepared under the Commission's standardisation request C(2015) 5376 final [i.6] to
provide one voluntary means of conforming to the essential requirements of Directive 2014/53/EU on the harmonisation
of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of radio equipment and repealing
Directive 1999/5/EC [i.1].
Once the present document is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive, compliance with
the normative clauses of the present document given in table A.1 confers, within the limits of the scope of the present
document, a presumption of conformity with the corresponding essential requirements of that Directive and associated
EFTA regulations.

The present document is structured as follows:
• Clause 2 provides references.
• Clause 3 provides definitions of terms and abbreviations used.
• Clause 4 provides technical requirements specifications.
• Clause 5 provides conditions for testing for compliance with technical requirements.
• Annex A (informative): Relationship between the present document and the essential requirements of
Directive 2014/53/EU
• Annex B (normative): Radiated measurements
• Annex C (normative): General description of measurement methods
• Annex D (normative): Power limits for RFID systems operating in the 2,4

• Annex D (normative): Power limits for RFID systems operating in the 2,45 GHz band
• Annex E (informative): Example of implementation for restriction of 4 W RFID to in-building use only
