Assessment of conformity of plastics piping systems for the rehabilitation of existing pipelines — Part 2: Resin-fibre composite (RFC) material

This document provides a scheme for the assessment of conformity of RFC products for the rehabilitation of existing pipelines, in accordance with the applicable parts of ISO 11296, ISO 11297 and ISO 11298, and intended to be included in the manufacturer’s quality plan as part of the quality management system and for the establishment of certification procedures. It applies to cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) products only. It applies to non-pressure pipe liners, and to independent (fully structural, class A) and interactive (semi-structural, class B) pressure pipe liners, as defined in ISO 11295, which do not rely on adhesion to the existing pipeline. NOTE In order to help the reader, summary tables of overall scheme requirements are provided in Annex E.

Plastics piping systems for renovation of underground water supply networks — Part 4: Lining with cured-in-place pipes

This document, in conjunction with ISO 11298‑1, specifies requirements and test methods for cured-in-place pipes and fittings used for the renovation of water supply networks, which transport water intended for human consumption, including raw water intake pipelines. It applies to independent (fully structural, class A) and interactive (semi structural, class B) pressure pipe liners, as defined in ISO 11295, which do not rely on adhesion to the existing pipeline. It applies to the use of various thermosetting resin systems, in combination with compatible fibrous carrier materials, reinforcement, and other process-related plastics components (see 5.1). It does not include requirements or test methods for resistance to cyclic loading or the pressure rating of CIPP liners where passing through bends, which are outside the scope of this document. It is applicable to cured-in-place pipe lining systems intended to be used at a service temperature of up to 25 °C. NOTE For applications operating at service temperatures greater than 25 °C, guidance on re-rating factors can be supplied by the system supplier.

Plastics piping systems for renovation of underground non-pressure drainage and sewerage networks — Part 7: Lining with spirally-wound pipes

This document, in conjunction with ISO 11296-1, specifies requirements and test methods for pipes which are formed on site by spirally winding and jointing a pre-manufactured profiled plastics strip, or a profiled plastics strip and integral locking joiner strip, and used for the renovation of underground non-pressure drainage and sewerage networks. It applies to spirally-wound pipes of fixed or variable diameter made of profiled plastics strips, with or without steel stiffening elements, and installed by one of two methods. The first method employs a dedicated winding machine in front of the open end of an existing pipeline, e.g. in a manhole. The pipes thus formed are simultaneously inserted into the existing pipeline by the winding forces, and by certain techniques can also be expanded in diameter after or during insertion. The second method employs a dedicated winding machine which forms the pipe as it traverses the existing pipeline from one manhole to the next. It applies to profiled plastics strips of unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC U) with integral locking mechanism, or of high density polyethylene (HDPE) with integrally welded joints.

This document, read in conjunction with ISO 11299-1, specifies requirements and test methods for pipes and fittings which are part of plastics piping systems installed as continuous pipes in the renovation of underground gas supply networks. It is applicable to polyethylene (PE) pipes of three different types: — PE solid wall single layered pipes (nominal outside diameter, dn), including any identification stripes; — PE pipes with co-extruded layers on either or both the outside and inside of the pipe (total outside diameter, dn), as specified in Annex A, where all layers have the same MRS rating; — Coated PE pipes (outside diameter, dn) having a peelable, contiguous, thermoplastics additional layer on the outside of the pipe ("coated pipe"), as described in Annex A. In addition it covers: — jointing of pipe lengths by means of butt fusion; — fabricated and injection-moulded fittings made of PE; It is applicable to PE pipes, fittings and assemblies intended to be used at an operating temperature of 20 °C as the reference temperature. NOTE For other operating temperatures, guidance is given in ISO 4437-5:2014.
