BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 1865, Textile machinery - Terms for serrated bars and dimensions of the cross-
section of assembled bars for mechanical warp stop motions, was drawn up by Technical Committee ISO/TC 72,
Textile machinery and accessories, the Secretariat of which is held by the Association Suisse de Normalisation (SNV).
Work on this question led to the adoption of Draft IS0 Recommendation No. 1865, which was circulated to
all the IS0 Member Bodies for enquiry in October 1969. It was approved, subject to a few modifications of an
editorial nature, by the following Member Bodies :

This Draft IS0 Recommendation was then submitted by correspondence to the IS0 Council, which decided
to accept it as an IS0 RECOMMENDATION.
HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 1865, Matériel pour l’industrie textile - Termes pour tringles crknelées et dimen-
sions de la section des tringles assemblées pour casse-chaînes mécaniques, a été élaborée par le Comité Technique
ISO/TC 72, MatérieI pour l’industrie textile, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par l’Association Suisse de Normalisation
(SNV).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question aboutirent à l’adoption du Projet de Recommandation IS0 No 1865 qui
fut soumis, en octobre 1969, à l’enquête de tous les Comités Membres de 1’ISO. I1 fut approuvé, sous réserve de
quelques modifications d’ordre rédactionnel, par les Comités Membres suivants :
