1 Scope

This document specifies requirements for carbon steel wire of round cross-section supplied in the cold-

draw condition intended for the manufacture of springs for bedding and seating used in the automotive

and furniture manufacturing industries.

This document is applicable to wire supplies in the uncoated condition, that is, without a metallic

coating.
