This European Standard specifies the general characteristics of welded mesh supplied as panels and recommended coatings, properties and tolerances. This European Standard is applicable to panels made from round or shaped wires not thicker than 10 mm.
The panels have round, rectangular or triangular wires and double horizontal wires. The use of V-shaped vertical wires is optional.

Elle s’applique aux panneaux fabriqués à partir de fils ronds ou profilés de diamètre ou épaisseur inférieur(e) ou égal(e) à 10 mm.
Les panneaux ont des fils verticaux ronds, rectangulaires ou triangulaires et des fils simples horizontaux ou doubles horizontaux. L’utilisation de fils verticaux en V est facultative.

    • Organic (polymer) coatings allowed; performance requirements include adhesion (lift ≤5 mm), humidity resistance (1 000 h), salt spray, SO2 exposure (240 h), and weathering (1 000 h) per EN 10245 series and referenced EN ISO tests.
  • Stiffness classification
    • Heavy: > 1.0 kPa·m4; Medium: 0.5–1.0 kPa·m4; Light: < 0.5 kPa·m4.
