Applies to portable devices for household and similar uses (hereafter referred to as portable residual current devices (PRCDs) consisting of a plug, a residual current device (RCD) and one or more socket-outlets or a provision for connection, functionally independent of, or functionally dependent on, line voltage. They do not incorporate overcurrent protection. They are intended for single-phase circuits for rated current not exceeding 32 A for rated voltages not exceeding 130 V a.c. to earth. They are intended to provide protection against shock hazard in case of direct contact, in addition to the protection provided by the fixed installations for the circuit downstream.

Velja za prenosne naprave za uporabo v gospodinjstvu in za podobno uporabo (v nadaljevanju prenosne naprave na preostali (diferenčni) tok PRDC), sestavljene iz vtiča, naprave na preostali (diferenčni) tok (RCD) in eno ali več vtičnic ali zagotovitev za priklop, funkcionalno neodvisne ali funkcionalno odvisne od napetosti voda. Ne vsebujejo zaščite proti tokovni preobremenitvi. Primerne so za enofazna vezja za ocenjeni tok, ki ne presega 32 A, in za ocenjeno napetost, ki ne presega 130 V izmenične napetosti. Ustrezne so za zagotovitev zaščite proti nevarnostim električnega šoka ob neposrednem stiku poleg zaščite, ki je zagotovljena s fiksnimi inštalacijami za navzdol usmerjena vezja.

2010-09-01. CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which
stipulate the conditions for implementation of this amendment at national level.

application to the Central Secretariat or to any CENELEC member.

This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German).
