Industrial, commercial and garage doors and gates - Installation and use
This European Standard specifies the information to be provided by the door manufacturer and the components manufacturer to ensure safe installation, operation, use (including maintenance and repair) of doors, gates and barriers intended for installation in areas in the reach of persons, and for which the main intended uses are giving safe access for goods and vehicles accompanied or driven by persons in industrial, commercial or residential premises. This European Standard also covers commercial doors such as rolling shutters and rolling grilles used in retail premises which are mainly provided for the access of persons rather than vehicles or goods. This European Standard applies to manually operated and power operated doors, to doors and components intended to be installed by "non professional installers" and may also apply to the installation and use of upgrading component(s). The European Standard only applies to the doors and components manufactured after the date of publication. This European Standard does not apply to doors that are intended for a different use than the one described in 1.1 such as: - lock gates and dock gates; - doors on lifts; - doors on vehicles; - doors mainly for the retention of animals; - theatre textile curtains; - railway barriers; - barriers used solely for vehicles. This European Standard does not apply to machinery other than power operated doors. This European Standard does not cover operation in environments where the electromagnetic disturbances are outside the range of those specified in EN 61000-6-2 or for domestic garage doors those specified in EN 55014-2. This European Standard does not cover: - products to be used in potential explosive atmosphere or on armoured doors; - programmable devices (see IEC 61508 series); - shock resistance of component (example IK code). These exclusions are based on technology used at the publication time of this standard. When a door is part of the load carrying structure of the building, the load carrying function is not dealt with in this European Standard.
Tore - Einbau und Nutzung
1.1 Allgemeines
Diese Europäische Norm legt die Informationen fest, die die Hersteller der Tore und der Bauteile für sicheren Einbau, Betrieb, Nutzung von Toren und Schranken (einschließlich Wartung und Reparatur) bereitstellen müssen. Sie sind für den Einbau in Zugangsbereichen von Personen vorgesehen und ihre hauptsächliche Verwendung ist, eine sichere Zufahrt für Waren und Fahrzeuge, begleitet oder geführt (gesteuert) von Personen, in industriellen, gewerblichen oder Wohnbereichen zu ermöglichen.
Diese Europäische Norm umfasst auch gewerblich genutzte Tore wie Rolltore und Rollgitter in Einzelhandels¬betrieben, die hauptsächlich für den Zugang von Personen, weniger für Fahrzeuge oder Waren, bestimmt sind.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für hand und kraftbetätigte Tore sowie Tore und ihre Bauteile, die für den Einbau durch „Nicht Fachleute“ vorgesehen sind, und sie kann auch für den Einbau und die Nutzung von Umrüstbauteilen gelten.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nur für Tore und Bauteile, die nach ihrer Veröffentlichung hergestellt wurden.
1.2 Ausnahmen
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Tore, die für eine andere Nutzung als die in 1.1 beschriebenen vorgesehen sind, wie z. B.:
Schleusen- und Hafentore;
Türen in Aufzügen;
Türen in Fahrzeugen;
Tore, hauptsächlich für die Tierhaltung;
textile Theatervorhänge;
Eisenbahnschranken;
ausschließlich für den Fahrzeugverkehr verwendete Schranken.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Maschinen, sofern sie keine kraftbetätigten Tore sind.
Diese Europäische Norm enthält keine Informationen für den Betrieb in Umgebungen, deren Maß an elektro-magnetischen Störungen das in EN 61000-6-2 oder für Garagentore im Wohnbereich in EN 55014-2 festgelegte Maß überschreiten.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für:
Produkte, die unter potenziell explosiven Bedingungen oder an gepanzerten Toren genutzt werden;
programmierbare Geräte (siehe Normenreihe IEC 61508);
Schockbeständigkeit eines Bauteils.

1.1 Généralités
La présente norme européenne spécifie les informations à fournir par le fabricant de portes et le fabricant de composants afin de s'assurer de la sécurité de l'installation, du fonctionnement et de l'utilisation (y compris la maintenance et la réparation) des portes, portes de garage et barrières destinées à être installées dans des zones accessibles aux personnes, et dont l’utilisation principale prévue est de permettre l’accès des marchandises et des véhicules accompagnés ou conduits par des personnes, en toute sécurité, dans des locaux industriels, commerciaux ou résidentiels.
La présente norme européenne couvre également les portes équipant les locaux commerciaux telles que les rideaux et grilles à enroulement utilisés dans les commerces de détail qui permettent essentiellement l'accès des personnes plutôt que l’accès des véhicules ou des marchandises.
La présente norme européenne s'applique aux portes manuelles, aux portes motorisées, aux portes et composants destinés à être installés par des «installateurs non professionnels» et peut également s'appliquer à l'installation et à l'utilisation d’un (de) composant(s) d’amélioration.
La présente norme européenne ne s'applique qu'aux portes et composants fabriqués après sa date de publication.
1.2 Exclusions
La présente norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux portes destinées à un usage différent de celui décrit en 1.1, telles que :
les portes de bassin et d’écluse ;
les portes d’ascenseurs ;
les portes de véhicules ;
les portes destinées principalement au parquage des animaux ;
les rideaux de théâtre textiles ;
les barrières ferroviaires ;
les barrières utilisées uniquement pour les véhicules.
La présente norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux machines autres que les portes motorisées.

– vrata, namenjena zlasti za zapiranje živali v staje,
– tekstilne gledališke zavese,
– železniške zapornice,
– zapornice, ki se uporabljajo samo za vozila.
Ta evropski standard ne velja za mehanizme, razen za vrata s pogonom.
Ta evropski standard ne obravnava delovanja v okoljih, kjer so elektromagnetne motnje zunaj območja, določenega v EN 61000-6-2 oziroma v EN 55014-2 za domača garažna vrata.
Ta evropski standard ne obravnava:
– izdelkov za uporabo v potencialno eksplozivni atmosferi oziroma na blindiranih vratih,
– programiranih naprav (glej skupino IEC 61508),
– odpornosti sestavnih delov proti udaru (na primer s kodo IK).

This standard is a type C standard as specified in EN 1070. Only correct installation and maintenance performed by a competent organisation or person in conformity with the instructions can ensure the safe and intended functioning operations of an installation. With the aim of clarifying the intention of the standard, the following market situations were considered when compiling this standard: a) when the installation is carried out by the manufacturer of the door (by his own personnel) or under his responsibility (via professional subcontractor), the product is usually considered to be put on the market after installation. The installation requirements of this European Standard may be useful to draw up internal or contractual documents. b) when the installation of doors put on the market under the form of complete kits is carried out by the user or by his appointed installer, this standard may be used to prepare the hand books to be supplied with the kit. EN 12635:2002+A1:2008 (E) 4 c) when installation is of power operated doors consisting in the combination of separately sourced components, the installer is the manufacturer of the machinery which is usually considered to be put on the market after installation. The information from the different sources needs to be compiled: - for the compatibility of the components and for their installation; - and to provide the information for safe use and maintenance to the end user. This European Standard may be used to draft the information for use and maintenance. This European Standard may also be used to draft the information to be provided with the component(s) used for the upgrading of existing doors (e.g. manually operated doors upgraded to power operation). 3 Vorwort Dieses Dokument (EN 12635:2002+A1:2008) wurde vom Technischen Komitee CEN/TC 33 „Türen, Tore, Fenster, Abschlüsse, Baubeschläge und Vorhangfassaden“ erarbeitet, dessen Sekretariat vom AFNOR gehalten wird. EN 12635:2002+A1:2008 (D 4 0 Einleitung Diese produktbezogene Europäische Norm wurde mit dem vorrangigen Ziel erarbeitet, Informationen für Einbau und Nutzung (einschließlich Wartung) von Toren für den Personen- und Fahrzeugverkehr bereitzustellen, um die notwendigen Angaben für Hersteller, Betreiber und staatliche Überwachungsstellen zu liefern. Bei dieser Norm handelt es sich um eine C-Norm nach EN 1070. Nur korrekter Einbau und Wartung durch einen kompetenten Betrieb oder eine kompetente Person in Überein-stimmung mit den Anleitungen kann die sichere und vorgesehene Funktionsweise eines Einbaus sicherstellen. Mit dem Ziel, die Bestimmung der Norm klarzustellen, wurden bei ihrer Zusammenstellung die folgenden Markt-situationen bedacht: a) Wenn der Einbau vom Hersteller des Tores (vom eigenen Personal) oder unter seiner Verantwortung (über einen professionellen Subunternehmer) durchgeführt wird, ist das Produkt gewöhnlich als nach dem Einbau auf den Markt gebracht anzusehen. Die Einbauanforderungen dieser Europäischen Norm können beim Aufsetzen interner oder vertraglicher Dokumente behilflich sein. b) Beim Einbau von Toren, die als komplette Bausätze auf den Markt gebracht werden, durch den Betreiber oder einen von ihm bestellten Monteur, kann diese Norm zur Erarbeitung des mitzuliefernden Handbuchs verwendet werden. c) Beim Einbau kraftbetätigter Tore aus Bauteilen unterschiedlicher Herkunft ist der Monteur der Hersteller der Anlage, die gewöhnlich als nach dem Einbau auf den Markt gebracht angesehen wird. Die Informationen der verschiedenen Quellen sollten zusammengefasst werden: ⎯ für die Kompatibilität der Bauteile und für ihren Einbau; ⎯ um dem Endverbraucher Informationen für sichere Nutzung und Wartung zur Verfügung zu stellen. Diese Europäische Norm kann benutzt werden, um die Informationen für Nutzung und Wartung zu erstellen. Diese Europäische Norm kann ebenfalls verwendet werden, um die Informationen zusammenzustellen, die mit Bauteilen für die Umrüstung vorhandener Tore bereitgestellt werden (z. B. Umrüstung handbetätigter Tore in kraftbetätigte Tore). Allgemeines Diese Europäische Norm legt die Informationen fest, die die Hersteller der Tore und der Bauteile für sicheren Einbau, Betrieb, Nutzung von Toren und Schranken (einschließlich Wartung und Reparatur) bereitstellen müssen. Sie sind für den Einbau in Zugangsbereichen von Personen vorgesehen und ihre hauptsächliche Verwendung ist, eine sichere Zufahrt für Waren und Fahrzeuge, begleitet oder geführt (gesteuert) von Personen, in industriellen, gewerblichen oder Wohnbereichen zu ermöglichen. Diese Europäische Norm umfasst auch gewerblich genutzte Tore wie Rolltore und Rollgitter in Einzelhandels-betrieben, die hauptsächlich für den Zugang von Personen, weniger für Fahrzeuge oder Waren, bestimmt sind. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für hand- und kraftbetätigte Tore sowie Tore und ihre Bauteile, die für den Einbau durch „Nicht-Fachleute“ vorgesehen sind, und sie kann auch für den Einbau und die Nutzung von Umrüstbauteilen gelten. Ausnahmen Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Tore, die für eine andere Nutzung als die in 1.1 beschriebenen vorgesehen sind, wie z. B.: ⎯ Schleusen- und Hafentore; ⎯ Türen in Aufzügen; ⎯ Türen in Fahrzeugen; ⎯ Tore, hauptsächlich für die Tierhaltung; ⎯ textile Theatervorhänge; ⎯ Eisenbahnschranken; ⎯ ausschließlich für den Fahrzeugverkehr verwendete Schranken. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Maschinen, sofern sie keine kraftbetätigten Tore sind. Diese Europäische Norm enthält keine Informationen für den Betrieb in Umgebungen, deren Maß an elektro-magnetischen Störungen das in EN 61000-6-2 oder für Garagentore im Wohnbereich in EN 55014-2 festgelegte Maß überschreiten. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für: ⎯ Produkte, die unter potenziell explosiven Bedingungen oder an gepanzerten Toren genutzt werden; ⎯ programmierbare Geräte (siehe Normenreihe IEC 61508); ⎯ Schockbeständigkeit eines Bauteils (Beispiel: IK-Code). Diese Ausnahmen basieren auf der zum Veröffentlichungszeitpunkt dieser Norm gebräuchlichen Technologie. Ta standard nadomešča SIST EN 12635:2003.
NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Evropski standard EN 12635:2002+A1:2008 je pripravil tehnični odbor Evropskega komiteja za
standardizacijo CEN/TC 33 Vrata, okna, polkna, stavbno okovje in obešene fasade. Slovenski standard
SIST EN 12635:2003+A1:2009 je prevod evropskega standarda EN 12635:2002+A1:2008. V primeru
spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski standard v enem
izmed treh uradnih jezikov CEN. Slovensko izdajo standarda je potrdil Strokovni svet SIST za splošno
področje.
Odločitev za izdajo tega standarda je 14. januarja 2009 sprejel Strokovni svet SIST za splošno področje.

Ta dokument (EN 12635:2002+A1:2008) je pripravil tehnični odbor CEN/TC 33 Vrata, okna, polkna,
stavbno okovje in obešene fasade, katerega sekretariat vodi AFNOR.
Ta evropski standard mora dobiti status nacionalnega standarda z objavo istovetnega besedila ali z
razglasitvijo najpozneje do maja 2009 in morebitni nasprotujoči nacionalni standardi morajo biti
razveljavljeni najpozneje do decembra 2009.
Ta dokument vključuje dopolnilo A1, ki ga je CEN sprejel 23. oktobra 2008.
Ta dokument nadomešča EN 12635:2002.
Začetek in konec besedila, dodanega ali spremenjenega z dopolnilom, sta označena z oznakama .
Ta evropski standard je bil pripravljen v okviru mandata, ki sta ga Evropska komisija in Evropsko
združenje za prosto trgovino dala CEN, in podpira bistvene zahteve direktive (direktiv) Evropske unije.

Uvod
Ta evropski produktni standard je bil pripravljen za potrebe proizvajalcev, uporabnikov in organov,
odgovornih za varnost, z glavnim ciljem priskrbeti informacije o vgradnji in uporabi vrat v industrijske in
poslovne prostore ter garaže, ki jih uporabljajo avtomobili in pešci, vključno z njihovim vzdrževanjem.
Ta standard je standard tipa C, kot je določeno v EN 1070.
Samo pravilna vgradnja in vzdrževanje, ki ju v skladu z navodili opravi usposobljen organ oziroma
usposobljena oseba, lahko omogočita varno in predvideno delovanje izdelka.
Ta standard je bil zaradi jasnosti izdelan ob upoštevanju naslednjih razmer na trgu:
a) če vgradnjo opravi proizvajalec vrat (s svojim osebjem) ali se ta opravi pod njegovo odgovornostjo (s
profesionalnim podizvajalcem), se po navadi izdelek po vgradnji šteje, da je dan na trg. Zahteve za
vgradnjo iz tega evropskega standarda so lahko koristne pri pripravi internih oziroma pogodbenih
dokumentov;
b) če vrata, ki so dana na trg kot celoten komplet, vgradi uporabnik oziroma njegov izbrani monter, se
lahko ta standard uporabi pri pripravi priročnikov, ki se priložijo kompletu;
c) če se vgrajujejo vrata s samodejnim delovanjem iz delov različnega izvora, je njihov monter
proizvajalec naprave, ki se po navadi po vgradnji šteje, da je dana na trg. V informacijah iz različnih
virov morajo biti združene navedbe:
– za združljivost sestavnih delov in njihovo vgradnjo ter
– za posredovanje informacij o varni uporabi in vzdrževanju končnemu uporabniku.
Ta evropski standard se lahko uporablja pri pripravi informacij za uporabo in vzdrževanje. Prav tako se
lahko uporablja pri pripravi informacij, ki se priložijo sestavnemu(-im) delu(-om), ki se uporablja(-jo) za
nadgradnjo obstoječih vrat (na primer pri nadgradnji ročno upravljanih vrat v vrata s samodejnim
delovanjem).
V pojasnitev namena tega evropskega standarda in za preprečitev dvoumnosti pri branju je bilo pri
njegovi pripravi predvideno, da sta se proizvajalec in poklicni monter dogovorila v zvezi z uporabo jezika.

1 Področje uporabe
1.1 Splošno
Ta evropski standard določa informacije, ki jih morata dati proizvajalec vrat in proizvajalec sestavnih
delov, da se v poslovnih, javnih in stanovanjskih prostorih zagotovijo varna vgradnja, delovanje in
uporaba (vključno z vzdrževanjem in popravilom) vrat, garažnih vrat in zapornic, ki so predvidene za
vgradnjo v območjih, dostopnih ljudem, in katerih glavni predvideni namen uporabe je omogočiti varen
dostop blaga in vozil, ki jih spremljajo ali jih vozijo ljudje.
Ta evropski standard obravnava tudi vrata, s katerimi so opremljeni javni prostori, kot so dvižne zavese
in rešetke, ki se uporabljajo v trgovinah na drobno in ki omogočajo zlasti dostop ljudem pa tudi vozilom

sestavne dele, ki naj bi jih vgradili "nepoklicni monterji", lahko pa velja tudi za vgradnjo in uporabo enega
ali več sestavnih delov za njihovo nadgradnjo.
Ta evropski standard velja le za vrata in njihove sestavne dele, izdelane po njegovi objavi.
1.2 Izjeme
Ta evropski standard ne velja za vrata, ki so namenjena za drugačno uporabo od navedene v 1.1, kot
so:
– vrata na industrijskih bazenih in zapornicah,
– vrata dvigal,
– vrata vozil,
– vrata, namenjena zlasti za zapiranje živali v staje,
– tekstilne gledališke zavese,
– železniške zapornice,
– zapornice, ki se uporabljajo samo za vozila.
Ta evropski standard ne velja za mehanizme, razen za vrata s pogonom.
Ta evropski standard ne obravnava delovanja v okoljih, kjer so elektromagnetne motnje zunaj območja,
določenega v EN 61000-6-2 oziroma v EN 55014-2 za domača garažna vrata.
Ta evropski standard ne obravnava:
– izdelkov za uporabo v potencialno eksplozivni atmosferi oziroma na blindiranih vratih,
– programiranih naprav (glej skupino IEC 61508),
– odpornosti sestavnih delov proti udaru (na primer s kodo IK).
Te izjeme temeljijo na tehnologiji, ki je bila v uporabi v času objave tega standarda.
Če so vrata sestavni del nosilne strukture stavbe, nosilna funkcija ni predmet tega standarda.
2 Zveze s standardi
Ta standard vključuje z datiranim ali nedatiranim sklicevanjem določila iz drugih publikacij. Sklicevanja
na standarde so navedena na ustreznih mestih v besedilu, publikacije pa so naštete spodaj. Pri datiranih
