Lightning protection system components (LPSC) - Part 2: Requirements for conductors and earth electrodes

Part 2 of IEC 62561 specifies the requirements and tests for:
– metallic conductors (other than "natural" conductors) that form part of the air-termination
and down-conductor systems,
– metallic earth electrodes that form part of the earth-termination system.

4 Requirements
4.1 General
In the third paragraph, replace "A summary" with "Summaries".
4.4.4 Earth conductors and earth plates
In the second paragraph, replace "and 5.2.4." with ", 5.2.4, 5.2.5 and 5.2.6.".
5.2 Conductors, air-termination rods, earth lead-in rods and earth electrodes (except
earth rods)
Replace the title of 5.2 with the following new title:
5.2 Air termination conductors, air-termination rods, earth lead-in rods, earth
conductors and earth plates
5.2.1 General
In the first paragraph, replace "electrodes" with "conductors and earth plates".
After the first paragraph, add the following new paragraph:
Earth electrodes shall be subjected to the tests according to Annex D.
In the last paragraph, replace "Conductors" with "Air-termination conductors" and replace
"and earth electrodes (except earth rods)" with ", earth conductors and earth plates".

5.2.2 Test for thickness of coating
5.2.2.1 General conditions for tests
In the second and third paragraphs, replace "conductor" with "specimen".
5.2.2.2 Acceptance criteria
At the end of the first sentence, add the following new text: "and Table 3 for earth conductors
and earth plates.".
5.2.4.1 General conditions for tests
In the last paragraph, replace "Clause A.1" with "Clause A.2" and replace "Clause A.2" with
"Clause A.3".
5.2.5.1 General conditions for tests
In the first sentence of the first paragraph and in the second paragraph, delete "of conductor".
In the last paragraph, replace "The dimensions of the conductor" with "The dimensions of the
sample".
