Standard forms the basis for a uniform procedure for a common International Safety Mark. It implements the approval schedule for safety tests in IEC 60384-14:2013, 1.4.2, requires a declaration of design for parameters relevant to safety and indicates conformance tests to be conducted on every lot prior to its release and requalification tests depending on changes to the declared design. In comparison with IEC 60384-14-1 which provides quality conformance and safety tests, this specification is restricted to safety tests only. The use of IEC 60384-14-1 may be more appropriate for components manufactured in mass production, whereas the employment of this specification may be necessary in those cases where approval and requalification tests contribute considerably to the costs of the product. A blank detail specification is a supplementary document to the sectional specification and contains requirements for style, layout and minimum content of detail specifications. Detail specifications not complying with these requirements may not be considered as being in accordance with IEC specifications, nor should they so be described. In the preparation of detail specifications the content of 1.4 of the sectional specification should be taken into account.

L'IEC 60384-14-2:2016 particulière cadre constitue la base d'une procédure uniforme de marquage de sécurité international commun. Elle met en oeuvre le programme d'approbation pour les essais de sécurité de l'IEC 60384-14:2013, 1.4.2, nécessite une déclaration de conception pour les paramètres relatifs à la sécurité et indique les essais de conformité à réaliser sur tous les lots avant leur livraison et les essais de requalification en fonction des modifications apportées à la conception déclarée. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente:
- Le nombre permis d'éléments non conformes dans le Tableau 2 est toujours zéro, conformément à la spécification intermédiaire IEC 60384-14:2013.
Cette publication doit être lue conjointement avec la IEC 60384-1:2016.

Standard oblikuje osnovo za poenoten postopek dodelitve skupne mednarodne varnostne oznake. Uvaja program odobritve za varnostne preskuse v skladu s točko 1.4.2 standarda IEC 60384-14:2013, zahteva pojasnilo k načrtovanju za parametre v zvezi z varnostjo ter navaja preskuse skladnosti, ki morajo biti opravljeni za vsako serijo pred izdajo, in preskuse prekvalifikacije glede na spremembe navedene zasnove. V primerjavi s standardom IEC 60384-14-1, ki določa preskuse skladnosti z zahtevano kakovostjo in preskuse varnosti, je ta specifikacija omejena samo na preskuse varnosti. Uporaba standarda IEC 60384-14-1 je lahko primernejša za serijsko proizvedene komponente, medtem ko je uporaba te specifikacije lahko potrebna v primerih, kjer preskusi za odobritev in prekvalifikacijo bistveno povečajo stroške proizvoda. Okvirna podrobna specifikacija je dopolnilni dokument k področni specifikaciji ter vsebuje zahteve glede sloga, postavitve in minimalne vsebine v podrobni specifikaciji. Podrobnih specifikacij, ki niso v skladu s temi zahtevami, ni treba obravnavati kot skladnih s specifikacijami informacijske in komunikacijske tehnologije in naj jih ne bi opisovali kot take. Pri pripravi podrobnih specifikacij naj bi upoštevali vsebino točke 1.4 področne specifikacije.

FOREWORD 1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields.
