Plastics - Polybutene-1 (PB-1) moulding and extrusion materials - Part 2: Preparation of test specimens and determination of properties (ISO 21302-2:2019)

This document specifies the methods of preparation of test specimens and the test methods to be
used in determining the properties of polybutene-1 (PB-1) moulding and extrusion materials. For the
sake of simplicity, the designation polybutene-1 and the abbreviation PB are used in this document.
Requirements for handling test material and for conditioning both the test material before moulding
and the specimens before testing are also specified.
Procedures and conditions for the preparation of test specimens and procedures for measuring
properties of the materials from which these specimens are made are given. Properties and test methods
which are suitable and necessary to characterize PB-1 moulding and extrusion materials are listed.
The properties have been selected from the general test methods in ISO 10350-1. Other test methods in
wide use for or of particular significance to these moulding and extrusion materials are also included in
this document, as is the designatory property specified in ISO 21302-1.
In order to obtain reproducible and comparable test results, it is intended to use the methods of
specimen preparation and conditioning, the specimen dimensions and the test procedures specified in
this document. Values determined will not necessarily be identical to those obtained using specimens
of different dimensions or prepared using different procedures.

Kunststoffe - Polybuten-1 (PB-1)-Werkstoffe - Teil 2: Herstellung von Probekörpern und Bestimmung von Eigenschaften (ISO 21302-2:2019)

Dieses Dokument legt die Bedingungen zu Herstellungsverfahren von Probekörpern und die zur Bestimmung der Eigenschaften von Polybuten 1 (PB 1) Werkstoffen anzuwendenden Prüfverfahren fest. Der Einfachheit halber wird die Bezeichnung Polybuten 1 mit der Abkürzung PB in diesem Dokument verwendet. Anforderungen an die Behandlung des Prüfmaterials und für das Konditionieren des Prüfmaterials vor der Formgebung und der Probekörper vor der Prüfung sind ebenfalls festgelegt.
Verfahren und Bedingungen für die Herstellung der Probekörper und Verfahren für die Bestimmung der Eigenschaften der Werkstoffe, aus der die Probekörper hergestellt werden, sind angegeben. Eigenschaften und Prüfverfahren, die anwendbar und notwendig sind, um PB 1 Werkstoffe zu charakterisieren, sind aufgelistet.
Die Eigenschaften wurden aus allgemeingültigen Prüfverfahren, wie sie in ISO 10350 1 festgelegt sind. Andere weithin gebräuchliche Prüfverfahren oder solche von besonderer Bedeutung für diese Werkstoffe, wie die kennzeichnende Eigenschaft aus ISO 21302 1, sind in diesem Dokument festgelegt.
Um reproduzierbare und vergleichbare Prüfergebnisse zu erhalten, ist es vorgesehen, dass die hier festgelegten Bedingungen der Probekörperherstellung und -konditionierung, die Probekörpermaße sowie die in diesem Dokument festgelegten Prüfverfahren angewendet werden. Die gemessenen Werte müssen nicht notwendigerweise mit denen identisch sein, die bei Anwendung von Probekörpern anderer Abmessungen oder solchen, die mit einem anderen Verfahren hergestellt wurden, erhalten werden.

Le présent document spécifie les méthodes de préparation des éprouvettes et les méthodes d'essai à appliquer pour déterminer les propriétés des matériaux à base de polybutène-1 (PB-1) pour moulage et extrusion. Dans un souci de simplicité, le terme polybutène-1 et l'abréviation PB sont utilisés dans le présent document. Les exigences relatives à la manipulation du matériau d'essai et au conditionnement du matériau d'essai avant moulage et des éprouvettes avant essai sont également spécifiées.
Les modes opératoires et les conditions nécessaires à la préparation des éprouvettes, ainsi que les modes opératoires de mesure des propriétés des matériaux à partir desquels les éprouvettes sont obtenues sont donnés. Les propriétés et méthodes d'essai qui sont utiles et nécessaires pour caractériser les matériaux pour moulage et extrusion à base de PB-1 sont énumérées.
Les propriétés ont été sélectionnées parmi les méthodes d'essai générales de l'ISO 10350‑1. D'autres méthodes d'essai largement utilisées ou qui revêtent une importance particulière pour ces matériaux pour moulage et extrusion sont aussi incluses dans le présent document; c'est le cas de la propriété de désignation spécifiée dans l'ISO 21302‑1.
Dans le but d'obtenir des résultats d'essai reproductibles et comparables, il convient d'utiliser les méthodes de préparation et de conditionnement, les dimensions d'éprouvette ainsi que les modes opératoires d'essai spécifiés dans le présent document. Ta dokument določa metode za pripravo preskušancev in preskusnih metod za uporabo pri ugotavljanju lastnosti materialov na osnovi polibutena-1 (PB-1) za oblikovanje in ekstrudiranje. Zaradi poenostavitve se v tem dokumentu uporabljata poimenovanje polibuten-1 in kratica PB. Podane so zahteve za ravnanje s preskusnim materialom ter za obdelavo preskusnega materiala pred oblikovanjem in obdelavo preskušancev pred preskušanjem.
Podani so postopki in pogoji za pripravo preskušancev ter postopki za merjenje lastnosti materialov, iz katerih so izdelani preskušanci. Navedene so lastnosti in preskusne metode, ki so primerne in nujne za opredelitev materialov na osnovi PB-1 za oblikovanje in ekstrudiranje.
Lastnosti so bile izbrane na podlagi splošnih preskusnih metod iz standarda ISO 10350-1. Druge preskusne metode, ki so v splošni uporabi ali so posebej pomembne za te materiale za brizganje in ekstrudiranje, so prav tako vključene
v tem dokumentu, kot tudi določevalna lastnost, navedena v standardu ISO 21302-1.
Da se zagotovijo primerljivi in ponovljivi rezultati preskušanja, naj se uporabljajo metode priprave in obdelave primerka, mere preskušanca ter preskusni postopki, ki so določeni v tem dokumentu. Pri tem ni nujno, da bodo ugotovljene vrednosti enake tistim, ki so pridobljene z uporabo preskušancev, ki imajo drugačne mere ali so pripravljeni z uporabo drugih postopkov.

This first edition of ISO 21302-2 cancels and replaces ISO 8986-2:2009, which has been technically
revised. The main changes compared to the previous edition are as follows:
— the symbol of general properties and additional properties has been added;
— the type and size of tensile sample ISO 527-4 (1B type test) has been modified to ISO 20753 (A1 or
A2 type test);
— the type and size of the relative permittivity, dissipation factor, volume resistivity and surface
resistivity samples have been modified from ≥ 80 × ≥ 80 × 1 to ≥ 60 × ≥ 60 × 2;
— the type and size of the electric strength sample has been modified from ≥ 80 × ≥ 80 × 1
or ≥ 80 × ≥ 80 × 3 to ≥ 60 × ≥ 60 × 1;
— the type and size of the water absorption sample has been modified from 50 × 50 × 3 or ø50 × 3 to
60 × 60 × 1;
— the test conditions of the density have been added. (the sample was regulated in a standard
atmosphere of 23 °C ± 2 °C and 50 % ± 10 % relative humidity).
