This document (EN 15947-1:2022) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 212
“Pyrotechnic articles”, the secretariat of which is held by NEN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2023, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by December 2023.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 15947-1:2015.
In comparison with the previous edition EN 15947-1:2015, the following technical modifications have
been made:
— definition of "preliminary effect" was changed to include aural effects;
— definition of "net explosive content", “end closure”, “selection pack” and "primary pack" was changed;
— new terms: "batch", "batch test", "reserve fuse", "sealing paper" and "type test" were added;
— definitions were also updated to be more accurate: debris, preliminary effect, pyro composition,
rocket launcher.
This document has been prepared under a Standardization Request given to CEN by the European
Commission and the European Free Trade Association.

La présente Norme européenne devra recevoir le statut de norme nationale, soit par publication d’un
texte identique, soit par entérinement, au plus tard en avril 2023, et toutes les normes nationales en
contradiction devront être retirées au plus tard en décembre 2023.
L’attention est attirée sur le fait que certains des éléments du présent document peuvent faire l’objet de

Par rapport à l’édition précédente EN 15947-1:2015, les modifications techniques suivantes ont été

— la définition de l’effet préliminaire a été modifiée pour inclure les effets sonores ;
— les définitions de « masse nette de composition ou masse active », « fermeture », « assortiment » et
« emballage primaire » ont été modifiées ;
— nouveaux termes : « lot », « essai de lot », « mèche de secours », « opercule papier de soie » et « essai
de type » ont été ajoutés ;
— des définitions ont également été mises à jour pour être plus précises : résidu, effet préliminaire,
composition pyrotechnique, dispositif de lancement de fusée.
Le présent document a été élaboré dans le cadre d’un mandat donné au CEN par la Commission
européenne et l’Association européenne de libre-échange.

Dieses Dokument (EN 15947-1:2022) wurde vom Technischen Komitee CEN/TC 212 „Pyrotechnische
Gegenstände“ erarbeitet, dessen Sekretariat vom NEN gehalten wird.
Diese Europäische Norm muss den Status einer nationalen Norm erhalten, entweder durch
Veröffentlichung eines identischen Textes oder durch Anerkennung bis April 2023, und etwaige
entgegenstehende nationale Normen müssen bis Dezember 2023 zurückgezogen werden.
Es wird auf die Möglichkeit hingewiesen, dass einige Elemente dieses Dokuments Patentrechte berühren
können. CEN ist nicht dafür verantwortlich, einige oder alle diesbezüglichen Patentrechte zu

Dieses Dokument ersetzt EN 15947-1:2015.
Im Vergleich zur Vorgängerausgabe EN 15947-1:2015 wurden die folgenden technischen Änderungen
vorgenommen:
— Definition der „Vorauswirkung“ angepasst, um akustische Wirkungen einzubeziehen;
— Definition von „Nettoexplosivstoffmasse“, „Abschluss“, „Sortimentsverpackung“ und
„Ursprungsverpackung“ geändert;
— neue Begriffe „Los“, „Losprüfung“, „Ersatzanzündung“, „Verschlusspapier“ und „Baumusterprüfung“
hinzugefügt;
— Definitionen wurden ebenfalls aktualisiert, um genauer zu sein: Reststück, Vorauseffekt,
pyrotechnischer Satz, Raketenabschussvorrichtung.
Dieses Dokument wurde unter einem Normungsauftrag erarbeitet, den die Europäische Kommission und
die Europäische Freihandelsassoziation dem CEN erteilt haben.

This document defines various terms relating to the design, construction, primary packaging and testing
