Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety -- Part 2-25: Particular requirements for microwave ovens, including combination microwave ovens

This international standard deals with the safety of microwave ovens for household use, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V. This international standard also deals with combination microwave ovens, for which Annex AA is applicable. As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by appliances that are encountered by all persons in and around the home. However, in general it does not take into account the use of appliances by young children or infirm persons without supervision;playing with the appliance by young children.

Ta mednarodni standard obravnava varnost mikrovalovnih pečic za gospodinjsko uporabo, katerih nazivna napetost ne presega 250 V. Obravnava tudi kombinirane mikrovalovne pečice, za katere se uporablja dodatek AA. Ta standard v največji možni meri obravnava splošne nevarnosti, ki jih predstavljajo aparati ter s katerimi se srečujejo osebe doma in v okolici doma. Vendar na splošno ne upošteva uporabe aparatov s strani majhnih otrok ali onemoglih oseb brez nadzora; uporabe aparata pri igri.

This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN 60335-2-25:2002; it was approved by
CENELEC on 2005-06-01. CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal
Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the status of a national standard without
any alteration.

Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on
application to the Central Secretariat or to any CENELEC member.

This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language
made by translation under the responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the
Central Secretariat has the same status as the official versions.
