ISO 23900-3:2015 specifies a method of determining in polyethylene (PE) the colouristic properties of a test pigment relative to a standard, and the ease of dispersion DHPE of pigments from the differences in colour strength on dispersing colouring materials under various conditions.
Method A is appropriate for use with organic powder pigments and carbon black pigments in powder form, many of which are subject to compaction (reagglomeration under pressure), for inorganic pigments in powder form and for pigment preparations in powder or flake form.
Method B is appropriate for testing pigments and pigment preparations in granular form and for inorganic pigments in any form.

ISO 23900-3:2015 spécifie une méthode permettant de déterminer dans le polyéthylène (PE) les propriétés colorimétriques d'un pigment d'essai par rapport à un étalon, ainsi que la facilité de dispersion DHPE des pigments à partir des différences d'intensité de couleur lorsque des matières colorantes sont dispersées dans différentes conditions.
La méthode A convient pour les pigments organiques en poudre et pour les pigments au noir de carbone sous forme de poudre, qui sont, dans un grand nombre de cas, sujets au compactage (réagglomération sous pression); elle peut également être utilisée avec les pigments inorganiques en poudre et avec les préparations de pigments, en poudre ou sous forme de flocons.
La méthode B est appropriée aux essais de pigments et de préparations de pigments sous forme granulaire ainsi qu'aux essais de pigments inorganiques quelle que soit leur forme.
La facilité de dispersion déterminée de cette manière n'est valable que pour l'équipement, les conditions et le milieu de dispersion utilisés. La mise en ?uvre de conditions d'essai différentes de celles spécifiées peut conduire à des résultats différents; cela vaut pour la valeur absolue et pour le rapport entre les valeurs obtenues pour la facilité de dispersion des divers pigments. L'indice DHPE est donc utilisé pour désigner la valeur obtenue comme spécifié dans la présente partie de l'ISO 23900.

ISO 23900-3:2015 določa postopek za določanje barvnih značilnosti preskusnega pigmenta v polietilenu (PE) glede na standard in dispergiranje pigmentov DHPE na podlagi razlik v intenzivnosti barve pri dispergiranju barvnih materialov v različnih pogojih.
Metoda A je primerna za uporabo z organskim pigmentnim prahom in črnimi ogljikovimi pigmenti v obliki prahu, od tega se na mnogih opravi zgoščevanje (vnovična aglomeracija pod tlakom), za uporabo z anorganskimi pigmenti v prahu in za pripravo pigmentov v obliki prahu ali kosmičev.
Metoda B je primerna za preskušanje pigmentov in pripravo pigmentov v granularni obliki in za anorganske pigmente v kateri koli obliki.

The text of ISO 23900-3:2015 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 256 “Pigments,

dyestuffs and extenders” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken

over as EN ISO 23900-3:2018 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 298 “Pigments and extenders” the

secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2018, and conflicting national standards shall be

withdrawn at the latest by July 2018.

Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
