This European standard specifies the characteristics of safety, construction, performance and efficiency, the test methods and marking, of room sealed space heating equipment of type C (see CR 1749) with combustion air intake and outlet for the products of combustion in the wall, roof or floor, combined or not. These are referred to in the body of the text as "heaters", burning LPG, for road vehicles
and boats.

Der dritte Satz im zweiten Absatz wird geändert:
„Diese Europäische Norm ist anzuwenden auf Heizgeräte, die entweder außerhalb oder innerhalb des Wohnbereichs eingebaut sind, deren Verbrennungsweg jedoch dicht gegenüber dem Fahrzeuginneren ist, mit einer Nennwärmebelastung von nicht mehr als 10 kW (Hs), betrieben mit Anschlussdrücken von 28 mbar, 30 mbar, 37 mbar und 50 mbar bei, sofern zutreffend, 12 V oder 24 V Gleichstromanschluss.

Der erste Satz wird durch folgende ersetzt:
Bei Geräten mit atmosphärischem Brenner wird das zu prüfende Heizgerät an eine Druckluftversorgung angeschlossen, so dass während der Prüfung am Geräteeingang ein Überdruck von 0,5 mbar herrscht.
Bei Gebläse unterstützten Brennern beträgt der Prüfdruck das 1,5fache des Druckes, der im Inneren des Wärmetauschers in der Nähe des Ausgangs bei Volllastbetrieb gemessen wird, mindestens jedoch 0,5 mbar.
Ein neuer Abschnitt wird hinzugefügt:
6.5.2.3 Die Dichtheitsprüfung wird nach der Prüfung der verzögerten Zündung bei Höchstenergie (siehe 6.19.3) wiederholt.

This amendment A2 modifies the European Standard EN 624:2000; it was approved by CEN on 6 December 2006.
