This document (EN ISO 14050:2020) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 207
"Environmental management" in collaboration with CCMC.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards
bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out
through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical
committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International

revised. The fourth edition is structured differently from the third edition. It presents a more generic
vocabulary of environmental management terminology.

Introduction
Communication is important in the implementation and operation of environmental management
systems. This communication will be most effective if there is a common understanding of the terms used.
To simplify the harmonization of terms and definitions in the field of environmental management, each
terminological entry in this document contains a generic term and its definition. Notes to entry and
examples have been included only in a few cases to provide additional information or clarification.
The terminology is arranged in subclauses, each representing a specific sub-domain. The sequence of
the term entries corresponds to the concept diagrams in Annex A.
This document has been developed in close cooperation with the committees and working groups
involved in the development and revision of the ISO 14000 family of standards. A list of published
documents in the ISO 14000 family of standards is presented in the Bibliography.

Standard SIST EN ISO 14050 (sl, en), Ravnanje z okoljem – Slovar (ISO 14050:2020), 2020, ima status
slovenskega standarda in je istoveten evropskemu standardu EN ISO 14050, Environmental
management – Vocabulary (ISO 14050:2020), 2020.
Ta standard nadomešča SIST EN ISO 14050:2010.
NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Mednarodni standard ISO 14050:2020 je pripravil tehnični odbor Mednarodne organizacije za
standardizacijo ISO/TC 207 Ravnanje z okoljem v sodelovanju s CCMC (CEN-CENELEC Management
Center).
Slovenski standard SIST EN ISO 14050:2020 je prevod angleškega besedila evropskega standarda EN
ISO 14050:2020, ki je istoveten mednarodnemu standardu; k dokumentu je dodan evropski predgovor.
V primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski
standard v angleškem jeziku. To izdajo standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor izdajo SIST/TC UZO
Upravljanje z okoljem.
Odločitev za privzem tega standarda je 1. novembra 2020 sprejel tehnični odbor SIST/TC UZO
Upravljanje z okoljem.
