This document specifies the required characteristics for a heat-shrinkable, semi-flexible polyvinylidene sleeving for use in aircraft electrical systems at operating temperatures between − 55 °C and 150 °C. This sleeving is basically transparent, but may be tinted. It is semi-flexible tough and abrasion resistant, and is suitable for use where strain relief and mechanical protection are required, or where their transparent properties are desirable. It is not suitable for use where contamination from phosphate ester based hydraulic fluid is possible. These sleevings are normally supplied with internal diameters up to 25,4 mm for shrink ratios of 2:1. Sizes other than those specifically listed in this standard may be available. These items shall be considered to comply with this standard if they comply with the property requirements listed in Tables 2, 3 and 4 except for dimensions and mass.

Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften für halbsteife wärmeschrumpfende Polyvinyliden-Schläuche zur Verwendung in elektrischen Bordnetzen von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen −55 °C und 150 °C fest. Diese Schläuche sind grundsätzlich transparent, dürfen aber eingefärbt sein. Sie sind halbsteif, robust sowie abriebbeständig und zur Verwendung an Stellen geeignet, an denen eine Zugentlastung und ein mechanischer Schutz erforderlich sind oder wo ihre transparenten Eigenschaften erwünscht sind.
Sie sind nicht zur Verwendung geeignet, wenn eine Verschmutzung durch Hydraulikflüssigkeiten auf Phos-phatesterbasis möglich ist.
Diese Schläuche werden üblicherweise mit Innendurchmessern bis zu 25,4 mm für Schrumpfverhältnisse von 2 : 1 geliefert.
Es können andere Größen, als die speziell in dieser Norm angegebenen, angeboten werden. Für diese Bauteile wird davon ausgegangen, dass sie dieser Norm entsprechen, wenn sie mit Ausnahme der Maße und Masse die in Tabelle 2, Tabelle 3 und Tabelle 4 aufgeführten Anforderungen an die Merkmale entsprechen.

Ce manchon est essentiellement transparent, mais peut être teinté. Il est semi-flexible, solide, résiste à l’abrasion et est approprié à un usage nécessitant une réduction de tension et un soutien mécanique ou des propriétés transparentes.
Il ne convient pas à une utilisation dans les zones où une contamination par des fluides hydrauliques à base d’ester phosphorique est possible.
Ces manchons sont normalement fournis avec des diamètres intérieurs allant jusqu’à 25,4 mm pour les coefficients de rétreint 2:1.
D’autres tailles que celles listées spécifiquement dans la présente norme sont potentiellement disponibles.
