Specifications for particular types of winding wires - Part 17: Polyvinyl acetal enamelled rectangular copper wire, class 105 (IEC 60317-17:2010)

This part of IEC 60317 specifies the requirements of enamelled rectangular copper winding wire of class 105 with a sole coating based on polyvinyl acetal resin, which may be modified providing it retains the chemical identity of the original resin and meets all specified wire requirements. Class 105 is a thermal class that requires a minimum temperature index of 105 and a heat shock temperature of at least 155 °C. The temperature in degrees Celsius corresponding to the temperature index is not necessarily that at which it is recommended that the wire be operated and this will depend on many factors, including the type of equipment involved. The range of nominal conductor dimensions covered by this standard is - width: min. 2,00 mm max. 16,00 mm; - thickness: min. 0,80 mm max. 5,60 mm. Wires of grade 1 and grade 2 are included in this specification and apply to the complete range of conductors. The specified combinations of width and thickness as well as the specified ratio width/thickness are given in IEC 60317-0-2.

La CEI 60317-17:2010 spécifie les exigences concernant les fils de bobinage de section rectangulaire en cuivre émaillé de classe 105 avec un revêtement unique à base de résine acétal de polyvinyle, qui peut être modifée à condition qu'elle conserve l'identité chimique de la résine initiale et réponde à toutes les exigences du fil. La modification principale par rapport à l'édition précédente est:  - Article 20: référence à la méthode d'essai de la résistance à l'huile de transformateur dans la CEI 60851-4.

Ta del IEC 60317 določa zahteve za emajliran bakren vodnik pravokotnega prereza razreda 105 z enojnim premazom na osnovi polivinilacetalne smole, ki se lahko spremeni, pod pogojem, da ohrani kemično identiteto originalne smole in izpolnjuje vse zahteve za vodnik. Razred 105 je toplotni razred, ki zahteva minimalni temperaturni indeks 105 in temperaturo toplotnega šoka vsaj 155 °C. Temperatura v stopinjah Celzija, ki ustreza temperaturnemu indeksu, ni nujno temperatura, priporočena za obratovanje vodnika, saj je to odvisno od številnih dejavnikov, vključno z vrsto vključene opreme. Razpon nominalnih mer prevodnikov, ki jih zajema ta standard, je – širina: najmanj 2,00 mm, največ 16,00 mm; - debelina: najmanj 0,80 mm, največ 5,60 mm. wires, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as
EN 60317-17 on 2010-05-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 60317-17:1994 + A1:1998 + A2:2005.
The main change with respect to EN 60317-17:1994 is listed below:
– Clause 20: reference to the transformer oil resistance test method in EN 60851-4.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN and CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
