Office furniture - Office work chair - Part 2: Safety requirements
This European Standard specifies safety, strength and durability requirements for office work chairs.
It does not apply to other seating in the office area for which other EN standards exist (EN 16139).
The requirements are based upon use for 8 h a day by persons weighing up to 110 kg. For more severe conditions of use, increased requirements will be necessary.
Annex A (informative) contains additional functional tests.

Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen an die Sicherheit, Festigkeit und Dauerhaltbarkeit für Büro-Arbeitsstühle fest.
Es gilt nicht für andere Sitzmöbel im Bürobereich, für die andere Europäische Normen vorliegen.
Die Anforderungen berücksichtigen eine Benutzung von täglich 8 h durch Personen mit einem Gewicht bis zu 110 kg.
Anhang A (informativ) enthält Gewichte, Massen und Zyklen für die Funktionsprüfungen.

La présente Norme européenne prescrit les exigences de sécurité, de résistance et de durabilité relatives aux sièges de travail de bureau.
Elle ne s'applique pas aux autres sièges utilisés dans l'espace d'un bureau pour lesquels d'autres Normes Européennes existent.
Les exigences sont basées sur un usage de 8 h par jour par une personne pesant jusqu’à 110 kg. Pour des conditions d’usage plus sévères, il sera nécessaire d’accroître les exigences.
L'Annexe A (informative) contient des charges, masses et cycles pour les essais fonctionnels.

Ta evropski standard določa zahteve za varnost, trdnost in trajnost pisarniških delovnih stolov.
Ne uporablja se za druge sedeže v pisarnah, za katere so na voljo drugi standardi EN (EN 16139).
Zahteve temeljijo na uporabi 8 ur na dan za osebe, ki tehtajo do 110 kg. Za zahtevnejše pogoje uporabe bodo potrebne večje zahteve.
Dodatek A (informativni) vsebuje dodatne funkcionalne preskuse.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2019, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 2019.
