This document specifies the characteristics of UV laser printable DR family, 4 to 11 cores, taped, screened (braided) and jacketed electrical lightweight cables for use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft, at operating temperatures between −55 °C and 260 °C. Nevertheless, if needed, −65 °C is also acceptable as shown by cold test.
It is possible to mark these cables by qualified compatible marking, in line with EN 3838.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques de la famille DR de câbles électriques allégés marquables par laser UV, 4 à 11 conducteurs, à ruban, blindés (tressés) et gainés, utilisés dans les systèmes électriques à bord des aéronefs, à des températures de fonctionnement comprises entre 55 °C et 260 °C. Néanmoins, si nécessaire, –65 °C est également acceptable comme indiqué par l’essai au froid.
Il doit également être possible de marquer ces câbles par des marquages compatibles qualifiés.
Ces marquages doivent satisfaire aux exigences de l’EN 3838.

This document (EN 2714-014:2024) has been prepared by ASD-STAN.
After enquiries and votes carried out in accordance with the rules of this Association, this document has
received the approval of the National Associations and the Official Services of the member countries of
ASD-STAN, prior to its presentation to CEN.
This document shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text
or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2025, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by June 2025.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 2714-014:2016.

1 Scope
This document specifies the characteristics of UV laser printable DR family, 1 to 11 cores, taped,
screened (braided) and jacketed electrical lightweight cables for use in the on-board electrical systems
of aircraft, at operating temperatures between −55 °C and 260 °C. Nevertheless, if needed, −65 °C is also
acceptable as shown by cold test.
It is possible to mark these cables by qualified compatible marking, in line with EN 3838.
