This document specifies test methods for the determination of the technical characteristics of underlays under modular mechanical locked floor coverings. It can be used to compare different underlays and to encourage the consumer to make an informed choice. It also specifies requirements for marking and packaging.
Underlays pre-attached to the flooring coverings are not covered by this document.
This document is not applicable to the performance of the floor covering system. This will be checked separately depending on the used floor covering.

Dieses Dokument legt Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der technischen Eigenschaften von Verlegeunterlagen unter modularen mechanisch verriegelnden Bodenbelägen fest. Es kann verwendet werden, um verschiedene Verlegeunterlagen zu vergleichen und Verbraucher zu informierten Entscheidungen anzuregen. Es legt eben
falls Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung und Verpackung fest.
Vorab an Bodenbelägen angebrachte Verlegeunterlagen sind nicht Gegenstand dieses Dokuments.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für die Leistung des Bodenbelagystems. Diese wird separat je nach verwendetem Bodenbelag geprüft.

1 Scope
This document specifies test methods for the determination of the technical characteristics of underlays
under modular mechanical locked floor coverings. It can be used to compare different underlays and to
encourage the consumer to make an informed choice. It also specifies requirements for marking and
packaging.
Underlays pre-attached to the flooring coverings are not covered by this document.
This document is not applicable to the performance of the floor covering system. This will be checked
separately depending on the used floor covering.

DPL method with melamine backing, and with an HDF core board with a density of (850 ± 50) kg/m
