Mechanical properties of fasteners - Part 2: Nuts with specified proof load values - Coarse thread (ISO 898-2:1992)

This International Standard specifies the mechanical properties of nuts with specified proof load values when tested at room temperature (see ISO 1). Properties will vary at higher and lower temperature.  It applies to nuts  - with nominal thread diameters up to and including 39 mm; - of triangular ISO thread and with diameters and pitches according to ISO 68 and ISO 262 (coarse thread); - with diameter/pitch combinations according to ISO 261 (coarse thread); - with thread tolerances 6H according to ISO 965-1 and ISO 965-2; - with specific mechanical requirements; - with widths across flats as specified in ISO 272 or equivalent; - with nominal heights greater than or equal to 0,5D1); - made of carbon steel or low alloy steel.  It does not apply to uts requiring special properties such as:  locking abilities (see ISO 2320); weldability; corrosion resistance (see ISO 3506); ability to withstand temperatures above + 300 oC or below - 50 oC.  NOTES  1. Nuts made from free-cutting steel should not be used above + 250 oC. 2. For special products such as nuts for high-strength structural bolting, and overtapped nuts for use with hot-dipped galvanized bolts, see the product standards for appropriate values. 3. For assemblies with threads having tolerances wider than 6H/6g, there is an increased risk of stripping (.). 4. In the case of thread tolerances other or larger than 6H, a decrease of the stripping strength should be considered (.).  [The scope of the complete standard includes a table]  1.  D is the nominal diameter of the internal thread in accordance with ISO 724.

Mechanische Eigenschaften von Verbindungselementen - Teil 2: Muttern mit festgelegten Prüfkräften - Regelgewinde (ISO 898-2:1992)

Diese Norm enthält Festlegungen über die mechanischen Eigenschaften von Muttern mit festgelegten Prüfkräften für Prüfung bei Raumtemperatur. Die Eigenschaften ändern sich bei höherer oder niedrigerer Temperatur.

Caractéristiques mécaniques des éléments de fixation - Partie 2: Ecrous avec charges d'épreuve spécifiées - Filetage a pas gros (ISO 898-2:1992)

La présente Norme internationale prescrit les caractéristiques mécaniques des écrous avec charges d'épreuve spécifiées, essayés à température ambiante (voir ISO 1). Ces caractéristiques se modifient quand la température augmente ou diminue. La présente Norme internationale s'applique aux écrous -- de diamètre nominal de filetage inférieur ou égal à 39 mm ; --- à filetage ISOtriangulaire de diamètres et de pas conformes à l'ISO 68 et à l'ISO 262 (filetage à pas gros) ; -- de combinaisons diamètre/pas conformes à l'ISO 261 (filetage à pas gros) ; -- de tolérance de filetage 6H conforme à l'ISO965-1 et à l'ISO 965-2 ; -- présentant des caractéristiques mécaniques spécifiques ; -- de cotes surplats conformes à l'ISO 272 ou équivalents ; -- de hauteur nominale supérieure ou égale à 0,5»',;O,5Dl*) ; -- fabriqués en acier au carbone ou en acier faiblement allié. Elle ne s'applique pas aux écrous pour lesquels on exige des caractéristiques spéciales telles que -- capacité de freinage (voir ISO 2320) ; -- soudabilité ; -- résistance à la corrosion (voir ISO 3506) ; -- résistance à des températures supérieures à + 300 °C ou inférieures à - 50 °C.NOTES1 Il convient queles écrous en acier de décolletage ne soient pas utilisés à des températures supérieures à + 250°C 2 Pour les produits spéciaux du type écrous pour vis de constructionà haute résistance ou écrous surtaraudés pour vis galvanisées à chaud, voir l 527es valeurs appropriées dans les normes de produits. 3 Dans les assemblages filetésde tolérances supérieures à 6H/6g, il existe un risque accru d'arrachement du filetage.Voir aussi tableau 1. 4 Dans le cas de tolérances de filetage différentes ou plus larges que 6H, il convient de prendre en considération une diminution de la résistance du filetage à l'arrachement (voir tableau 1).*) D estle diamètre extérieur de base du filetage intérieur (diamètre nominal) conformément à l'ISO 724.
