La CEI 60763-2:2007 expose les méthodes d'essai applicables aux matériaux classés dans la CEI 60763-1. La présente édition comporte les modifications techniques significatives suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente:
D'une manière générale, la norme a été révisée et mise en conformité avec la CEI 60641 2;
La méthode d'essai permettant de déterminer la résistance à la traction des couches internes a été remplacée par une autre méthode;
Le domaine d'application de la méthode d'essai permettant de déterminer la résistance thermique a été élargi.

Foreword
The text of document 15/360/FDIS, future edition 2 of IEC 60763-2, prepared by IEC TC 15, Solid
electrical insulating materials, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by
CENELEC as EN 60763-2 on 2007-03-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 60763-2:1996.
EN 60763-2:2007 includes the following significant technical changes with respect to EN 60763-2:1996:
– the standard has generally been revised editorially and brought into line with EN 60641-2;
– the test method for the determination of the internal ply strength has been replaced with an alternative
method;
– the test method for the determination of the thermal resistance has been enlarged in its scope.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2007-12-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2010-03-01
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.

The final cured properties will be primarily dependent on the VPI resin used. Two bond contents are specified: - low bond with a resin content of (8 ± 3) %; - medium bond with a resin content of (16 ± 3) %. However, the selection of a material by a user for a specific application should be based on the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in that application and not based on this specification alone.
