Powered industrial trucks - Visibility - Test method and verification - Part 9: Order-picking, lateral- and front-stacking trucks with elevating operator position
This standard specifies the requirements and test procedures for 360° visibility of order-picking trucks and lateral- and front-stacking trucks with elevating operator position with a sit-on or stand-on operator in accordance with ISO 5053-1 and is to be used in conjunction with EN 16842-1.
This standard does not apply to:
- driving with elevated operator position above 500 mm.
Where specific requirements are contained in EN 16842-9 they take precedence over the general requirements of EN 16842-1.
Kraftbetriebene Flurförderzeuge - Sichtverhältnisse - Prüfverfahren und Verifikation - Teil 9: Kommissionier-Flurförderzeuge und Dreiseitenstapler mit anhebbarer Bedienerposition
Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für die Rundumsicht (360°) von unbeladenen motorkraftbetriebenen Kommissionier- und Dreiseitenflurförderzeugen mit einem hebbaren Fahrerplatz (im Folgenden als Flurförderzeug bezeichnet) in Übereinstimmung mit ISO 5053-1 fest und soll in Verbindung mit EN 16842-1 verwendet werden.
Wenn spezifische Anforderungen in diesem Teil von den allgemeinen Anforderungen in EN 16842-1 abweichen, sind die Anforderungen in diesem Teil für das Flurförderzeug spezifisch und für motorbetriebene Kommissionier- und Dreiseitenflurförderzeuge mit einem hebbaren Fahrerplatz zu verwenden.
Dieser Teil von EN 16842 behandelt alle in Anhang ZA, Tabelle ZA.1 aufgeführten signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen oder Gefährdungsereignisse, die für die Sichtverhältnisse des Bedieners bei vorgesehener Nutzung der betreffenden Maschinen unter normalen Umständen durch den Hersteller vorhersehbaren Fehlanwendungen relevant sind.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les prescriptions et les modes opératoires relatifs à la visibilité
sur 360° des chariots de manutention automoteurs préparateurs de commande à vide, à prise latérale
et frontale avec poste de conduite élevable (ci‐après désignés chariot) conformes à l'ISO 5053‐1 et est
destinée à être utilisée conjointement avec le prEN 16842‐1.
Lorsque des prescriptions spécifiques de la présente partie sont modifiées par rapport aux
prescriptions générales du prEN 16842‐1, les prescriptions de la présente partie sont spécifiques au
chariot et sont à utiliser pour les chariots de manutention automoteurs préparateurs de commande, à
prise latérale et frontale avec poste de conduite élevable.
La présente partie de l'EN 16842 traite de tous les phénomènes dangereux, situations dangereuses ou
événements dangereux significatifs énumérés à l'Annexe ZA, Tableau ZA.1, relatifs à la visibilité de
l’opérateur pour les machines concernées lorsqu'elles sont utilisées comme prévu et dans des
conditions de mauvaise utilisation raisonnablement prévisible par le fabricant.

Ta standard določa zahteve in preskusne postopke za 360-stopinjsko vidno polje voznika pri tovornih in tristranih viličarjih z dvižnim položajem upravljavca s sedečim ali stoječim upravljavcem v skladu s standardom ISO 5053 -1 ter je predviden za uporabo skupaj s standardom EN 16842-1. Ta standard se ne uporablja za: – vožnjo z dvižnim položajem upravljavca nad 500 mm. Posebne zahteve iz standarda EN 16842-9 imajo prednost pred splošnimi zahtevami iz standarda EN 16842-1.

Trucks - Safety”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI.This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2019, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by August 2019.Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This European Standard is intended to be used in combination with the requirements in EN 16842−1.
The EN 16842 series consists of the following parts under the general title "Powered industrial trucks –
Visibility – Test methods and verification":— Part 1: General requirements;
— Part 2: Sit-on counterbalance trucks and rough terrain masted trucks up to and including 10 000 kg
capacity;— Part 3: Reach trucks up to and including 10 000 kg capacity;
— Part 4: Industrial variable reach trucks up to and including 10 000 kg capacity;
— Part 5: Industrial variable reach trucks greater than10 000 kg capacity (under preparation);
— Part 6: Sit-on counterbalance trucks and rough terrain masted trucks greater than 10 000 kg
capacity;— Part 7: Variable reach and masted container trucks handling freight containers of 6 m (20 ft) length
and longer;— Part 8: Stand on counterbalance trucks up to and including 10 000 kg capacity (under preparation).
— Part 9: Order-picking, lateral- and front-stacking trucks with elevating operator position;
— Part 10: Towing and pushing tractors and burden carrier.It is intended to develop the parts related to the following machinery:
— Pallet stacking trucks (rider controlled);
— Single side loader;
— Multi-directional forklift truck;
— Articulated counterbalance lift truck;
— Non-stacking low-lift straddle carrier (as defined in ISO 5053-1:2015, 3.18);
— Stacking high-lift straddle carrier (as defined in ISO 5053-1:2015, 3.19).
