This standard specifies the required characteristics of a light weight coaxial cable, 50 Ohms, type KX for use in aircraft electrical systems at operating temperature between - 55 °C and 200 °C and specially for high frequency up to 6 GHz. Nevertheless, if needed, - 65 °C is also acceptable as shown by rapid change of temperature test.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die erforderlichen Eigenschaften eines leichten Koaxialkabels, 50 Ω, Typ KX,
zur Verwendung in elektrischen Bordnetzen von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen – 55 °C
und 200 °C und insbesondere für hohe Frequenzen bis 6 GHz fest. Wenn erforderlich, ist eine Temperatur
von – 65 °C zulässig, wenn diese durch die Prüfung für den schnellen Temperaturwechsel nachgewiesen
wurde.

La présente Norme Européenne spécifie les caractéristiques d’un câble coaxial allégé, 50 Ω, type KX, pour utilisation dans les systèmes électriques aéronautiques aux températures de fonctionnement comprises entre – 55 °C et 200 °C et spécialement pour les hautes fréquences jusqu’à 6 GHz. Toutefois, si besoin, – 65 °C est aussi accepté comme montré à l’essai de stabilité thermique.

Ta evropski standard določa potrebne lastnosti lahkega koaksialnega kabla 50 O, tip KW, za uporabo v letalskih električnih sistemih pri delovni temperaturi med –55 °C in 200 °C ter posebej za visoke frekvence do 6 GHz. Kljub temu pa je po potrebi sprejemljiva tudi temperatura –65 °C, kot je pokazal preskus s hitro spremembo temperature.
